I hope I do not break too many rules thus...

So it is time for yet another Horizon in Denmark - Horizon IV:

Horizon held true to form, the last weekend in November. This year the dates are as follows:

The doors open at 17 Friday (you are welcome to come before, but the risk of being put manual labour is there)
We close by 12 noon Sunday (and if you stay longer labour is a risk: D)

We moved last year to other rooms. These worked as intended, so the address is again this year:

PRICE *
We\'ve been forced to change the pricing structure:

 - Participation Friday to Sunday cost €43, -
Saturday to Sunday all inclusive is slightly less.

Prices now include:
- Entrance to the rally
- Food (see menu below)
- Accommodation including mattress to lie on

If you don\'t care to buy the food, a special agreement can be made.

Food
The menu is as follows:
- Breakfast (Saturday and Sunday): Mixed breakfast with particular eggs and bacon + assorted sandwiches
- Dinner Saturday: Mixed smorgasbord of cold cuts
- Dinner Friday: Roast with accessories (one can only cross our fingers that the chef remembers the ølmarinerede kamsteg again this year: D)
- Dinner Saturday: Choosing between buns in curry, chili con carne, lasagne or vegetarian lasagne

* We have been forced to raise prices due to the new charges. We would rather have done without, but it has to any running around.

What is Horisont?

Well it\'s the half way between a \'LAM\' (Lead Adventure Meet-up) and a regular convention.

And what does that mean?! Well it means that everyone\'s invited, but only the regulars will come. lol

But even that has it\'s advantages

And, well, yes it\'s in Denmark. And some might say it\'s the wrong side of the country even. But that\'s just what makes it all so awesome, because then we\'re able to provide you with thing\'s you\'d never see in the big cities. o_o

And it goes without saying that we will drive any flying combatants to and fro the Billund air port, train station and so on.


So what\'s unique about Horisont and why should you come?


Firstly we have ALL the space imaginable. So whatever insane size of your game we can fit it all in. And it never get\'s crowded.
It sometimes looks a bit empty though, but that\'s not really a concern though is it?


Space

Secondly we have the space ALL the time! So you can start gaming Friday evening and go on till you drop. As long as you clear our by Sunday.

Thirdly as last year we\'ve had a miniature produced that we\'re handing out for free to the first 100 participants.

für alle, die an dem Wochenende Zeit haben ist die Horisont in Esbjerg ein wirklich guter Geheimtipp.

Wir Hamburger und Kieler fahren da immer mit guter Mannstärke hin und haben jedes Mal viel Spaß. Die Dänen sind ein echt verrücktes Völkchen, und die dänischen Wargamer erst recht!  :smiley_emoticons_pirate2_biggrin:

Ja, die Veranstaltung ist echt klasse. Bin nun schon seit der ersten Stunde dabei und habe es noch nie bereut. Auch in diesem Jahr sind die Hamburger wieder mit 7 Mann am Start und habe so einiges an Spielen im Kofferraum (Hammaburg, Sudan, Ostafrika, Warhammerquest, Falkland, Ringkrieg usw...) Es lohnt sich also.

Ich werde auch mit der Piratenplatte da sein und freue mich schon sehr! Der Horisont hat eine einzigartige, relaxte Atmosphäre und ist liebevoll organisiert.
Ein Beispiel: ab 21:00 ging bisher jedesmal jemand mit einem Kaffewagen herum und schenkte Kaffee aus.
Wo hat man sowas schon?

Dazu kommen noch sehr nette Spieler, tolle, teils innovative Tische und natürlich das Wiedersehen mit den altbekannten Pappnasen. Mit Ausnahme des letzten Jahres ist diese Veranstaltung eigentlich eine von denen, die fest im Jahresplaner eingetragen ist!
