Panzergrenadiers – German armoured infantry

Speeding into the thickest of the action from the armoured confines
of their Hanomag halftracks, the Panzergrenadiers are the Third Reich’s
fire brigade – plugging gaps in the German defences or taking full
advantage of weak spots in the enemy battlelines. Combining mobility and
protection with the suppressive firepower of their halftracks machine
guns, each squad of panzergrenadiers can lay down a withering hail of
small arms fire!

This boxes set contains 3 of our superb new plastic Sd.Kfz 251/1 ausf
C half-tracks and 30 multi-pose plastic German infantry – a great core
for taking on the Ivans, Tommies or Amis!

Plastic Sd.Kfz 251/1 ausf C ‘Hanomag’ half-track

The Panzergrenadier boxed set sees the debut of the first in a series of
hard plastic WWII vehicles for our Bolt Action range – the Sd.Kfz 251/1
ausf C half-track. More commonly known as ‘Hanomag’ this is the very
epitome of Hitler’s mechanised forces.

Few vehicles are as instantly identifiable as the Sd.Kfz 251, or
Hanomag as it was also known. Combining speed, protection and firepower,
it ensured the infantry would break through to take and hold enemy
positions. Its cross-country performance was much better than any truck
and enabled infantry to stay with the leading Panzers for mutual
support. The Germans produced many thousands of these excellent machines
and they served on most fronts from the fall of France to the last days
in Berlin. The factories of the Third Reich could never make enough, so
most panzergrenadier divisions only carried one third of their men in
such luxury; the rest were in a motley assortment of trucks.

This 1/56th scale plastic kit is designed with the wargamer in mind –
relatively few parts allows you to get it on the tabletop quickly but
not at the expense of accuracy or detail. There are several optional
extras (such as MG34 or MG42 machine guns, stowage, etc) in the kit
meaning your Hanomags will look different every time. In addition, each
Hanomag comes with a sheet of full colour waterslide decals to finish it
off perfectly.

The Ausf C variant of the Hanomag began to see service in 1940 seeing
action in France., the Low Countries and the Russian Front as well as
in the North African campaign. Whilst superceded by the Ausf D, the C
variant would continue to see service throughout the war be it with the
Heer, Waffen-SS, Deutsche Afrika Korps or Fallschirmjager.

We’ll be making the plastic Hanomag available as a single vehicle kit
in the future but for now you can grab yourself an absolute bargain
with three of them and 30 plastic German Heer for a great price!

Of course, the halftracks will need their
cargo of panzergrenadiers so this set includes 30 multi-pose plastic
German Army infantry too! With stacks of options for posing and
equipping, these will give you hours of fun from the modelling alone –
even before you get to smite the enemies of the Third Reich!

We’ve really gone to town with the box
cover and everyone who has seen it has asked for the image to use as
desktop wallpaper. So, before we receive a deluge of emails here it is!

Ich meine irgendwo auf der Homepage gelesen zu haben, dass sie später einzeln erscheinen werden. Ich finde es aber gerade nicht mehr.

Die Dinger nicht einzeln rauszubringen wäre wirtschaftlich extrem unklug. Es gibt genug Leute, die ein oder zwei Modelle haben wollen, jedoch keine drei, und die Wehrmacht ist für Leute, die SS spielen, auch nicht interessant.Und wenn man die hohen Kosten einer Gussform für Kunststoff betrachte, dann müssen die schon einige umsetzen, damit es sich rentiert.

Ich hoffe nur, dass bald andere Fahrzeuge folgen werden.               

Laut Aussage auf der Spiel ist es ein Versuch. Wenn sich der Hannomag verkauft, dann wird es weitere Kunststoffmodelle geben.
