@Everyone

Thank you very much for the compliments! :pump: :thumbsup:

@Robert

Thank you. :D I just looked up the Metallica\'s black albumn cover and now I see your and Vingthor\'s point.That snake symbol was a common symbol for flags during the war,and that was where I got my idea.I wasn\'t aware Metallica had used it,but it\'s a cool symbol and I understand why they used it to advocate defiance and resistence. :beer:

@Phobos

Thank you. :D It\'s funny you should mention that,but the American General Greene at Guilford Courthouse deployed his army with the full understanding that the militia would not stand for long.He used a plan devolped by Daniel Morgan in which he deployed his battle lines in 3 waves one behind the other.His intention was that they flee through each others lines.He spaced them out so they would not disrupt the other line.He used militia in the first 2 lines and had his regulars in the last.He asked his militia to fire at least 2 shots before breaking.For the most part they performed very well in this battle.In the end the British did manage to win,but they paid such a heavy toll in casualities that one member of parliment remarked that anymore victories like this will be the end of the British empire! :blackeye:

@Erestor90

Thank you. :D The miniatures are a mix between Perry and Foundry,although you can say they are all Perry because they did the AWI line for Foundry before starting on their own. ;)

@Mad Mo

I beg to differ.I am an American and know my history well.America has a proud tradition of standing and fighting.The American Civil War is loaded with stand up brawls.The alamo, Bastogne,New Orleans 1812,Midway,Guadalcanal,just about all the pacific island battles,Etc.I\'m a veteren of the first gulf war and we didn\'t run from anything.(tanks)

In the AWI of independence the Americans were going up against the best equiped and best trained army in the world at the time.Their commanders were almost all veterens from the French and Indian war and were very good to boot.Of course the militia didn\'t stand up to the British army very well,but we musn\'t forget Bunker Hill.They stood and were winning until they ran out ammo and had no bayonets to resist the British anymore.On the other hand the American regulars held their own for the most part.As their training and equipment improved,so did their ability to stand.All in all given the quality of the troops and commanders of the British army the Americans showed great resolve and did win their independence.If they ran all the time,we would still have a King/Queen and not a president.
