--- Zitat ---\"Unfortunately due to the fact you posted this in the public forums instead of asking me for our stance on this in person you have hardy left me an alternative way to deal with this. We are a global business and have a global view on our product and our future This is a local issue in just one country for a small selection of our total retailers and I would have been fine with discussing this with your group should it have been done in the right manner. What we have now is a storm in a tea cup and until that dies down no further actual discussion can be had. I did not lock the posts as I know this needs to run out of steam naturally but having people tell me I don’t know what I am doing, instead of understanding that we have just made a choice of what to do about it, is unlikely to get anything out of BF other than being ignored.

Despite your concerns my sales reports tell a different tale and has the FOW hobby growing in Germany just like every other place in the world. Stores and gamers are free to buy or not buy our product and no law anywhere in the world takes that right away from them. It is a choice made by each store and gamer and should they not wish to buy our books, then that is their choice. We are not a German business nor do we manufacture in Germany so that really is as far as we need to go with our decisions relating to product that can be sold in the other 192 countries around the world. Given I imagine this reply will also be made public may I just add that discussing serious issues like this is never easy and despite your intention to give us some guidance about the situation you have just made the issue impossible to now talk about in any way to produce anything other than more opinion, something that rarely makes things happen. We have always listened to our community but when we get attacked it is hard to do that in any meaningful way. This was definitely not the way to have your issues listened to.

Wellington:

I can\'t say I\'m surprised they responded this way.I said the world outside Germany is not near as sensative to the Third Reich symbolism as the Germans are. Many turned this into a political matter and they view it as wargaming only matter or too the cynical ones a matter of money.I take their point of view and see it as wargaming, but I understand how many Germans feel because I have the advantage of living here and they do not. They needed to respond in a more senative manner and this is where they tripped up.I think their needs to be more understanding on both sides and each party should try and view it from the others perspective. Some patience and understanding on both sides would go along way.

Hmmm,do I start painting the tanks first or the infantry.Snow camo or forest?Hmmmm.Lets remember what we are all really here for. :)
