Großes Lob und vielen Dank für die Orga! War sehr stimmig mit den Szenarien und dazu passendem schönem Gelände. Auch sonst einfach eine runde Sache und ein ganz entspannter Tag. Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht!

Ein ganz besonderer Dank auch an Chris und Thorsten für ihre Geduld mit einem SAGA Neuling!

Der Halleysche Komet erscheint und läßt Böses ahnen ... Im Frühling 1066 rebelliert Harolds Bruder Tostig und sammelt Truppen, unter anderem in Flandern. Er plündert die Südküste und flieht vor Harold nach Schottland um sich Unterstützung beim schottischen König Malcolm Canmore zu holen.
Nachdem Willhelm erfährt dass sich Harold die englische Krone aufgesetzt hat, wütet er, bekommt Sodbrennen, holt sich die Unterstützung des Papstes und rüstet zur Invasion.
Harald von Norwegen will sich auch ein Stück vom Kuchen abschneiden und landet in Nordengland. Tostig schliesst sich ihm an.

8. September
Harold schickt seine Flotte und die Truppen an der Südküste nach Hause, da nicht mehr mit der Invasion gerechnet wird.

12. September
Willhelm segelt Richtung Somme.

20. September
Tostig und Harald besiegen Edwine und Morkere bei Fulford Gate. Harold marschiert nach Norden.

25. September
Harold überrascht die Norweger und Tostig bei Stamford Bridge. Harald wird erschlagen und nur wenige Norweger entkommen.

Was wirklich geschah ...

Harold (Cedric), der König der Angelsachsen überrascht die Norweger unter Harald Hardrada (Byron) und seinen verräterischen Bruder Tostig bei Stamfor Bridge. Ein namenloser Wikinger hält die Brücke gegen die heranstürmenden Angelsachsen.







Während dessen stellt sich Edwin (Cukoo), der Earl of Mercia, der norwegischen Verstärkung under Eystein Orre (Rolin) in den Weg um für Harold Zeit zu gewinnen.







Der Plan gelingt! Edwin besiegt Eystein Orre, trotz seiner heldenhaften Bondir! Und Harold schlägt Harald, dieser wird auch schwer verletzt. Der König der Norweger unterwirft sich Harold und verspricht ihm gegen die Normannen beizustehen.

Super Dokumentation, vielen Dank! Macht richtig Lust auf die Rückrunde nächstes Jahr.

Die Fotos vom Hastings sind auch spannend. Wobei ich immer wieder überrascht bin, wie schief und \"billig\" Helme und Rüstungen oft aussehen, obwohl sie es gar nicht sind.
