Axebreaker:
This is the start of my Norman army with a few pics of mounted and dismounted Knights.
I thought I would try out out a new system of painting in 15mm.I used a black shade method in that I painted the raised areas and left the recesses in the black undercoat.This system works great in a small scale and so far I\'m pleased. :)
Anyone else tried this method before and what do you think? :)

Sorandir:

Wraith:
Great WORK!! I really like it.
Maybe you could have added little more variation in the base design, like grey stones, some lighter ground, some brushes, etc. Miniatures are great! You painted the banners by yourself or are they from little big men?
I used kind of the same technique with my 6mm WW2 Infantery, but of course it\'s still different with 15mm.

vodnik:

Axebreaker:
@Everyone
Thank you very much for the compliments!I appreciate it! :D

@Sorandir
Your right,I\'m not sure how it would work with a colorful army like you mentioned,but I think it still would.Your right I felt inspired by \"Kingdom of Heaven\" and went heavy on pennants.I wanted to add some color for contrast. :)
All the miniatures are Old Glory 15\'s.They make very nice 15mmm,but I don\'t care for their 25mm.

@ Wraith
I wanted to keep my bases simple at this scale.I\'m trying to complete armies at a decent pace and I\'m not looking to create super mini\'s,but your right a little more work on the base would look better. ;)
They are Little Big Men,but I had to re paint most of it as edges show on the pennants and the shield color fades a bit.

@I wanted a colorful Norman army instead of the normal toned down one.I might post in the gallery,but I thought this scale would only interest people here and sometimes I\'m asked why I post in 2 places.I still might if more folks think I should. :)
