Chariot Wars revival

Super, vielen Dank für die Links. Die Redoubt Minis sehen ja echt gut aus. Ich hatte da meine Bedenken, da ich mir dort mal Landsknechte bestellt habe und die fand ich furchtbar.

The Trojan war was fought between Mycenaean Greeks(Achaians) and the Trojans(Anatolians) and as you may already know the Greeks won after a 10 year war. When collecting miniatures there really isn\'t much of a difference in appearance and so they tend to group them under Trojan\'s or Mycenaean Greeks as they are more or less interchangeable. The Greeks outnumbered the Trojans by a good margin and this is reflected in the number of hero\'s the Greeks had over the Trojans. The Greeks had heroes like Achilles,Odysseus ,Diomedes, Greater and Lesser Ajax,Old Nestor,Philoctetes, Neoptolemus ,Agamemnon, Menelaüs,Orestes,Telemachus and the Trojans had Hector,Paris, Deïphobus,Aeneas,Sarpedon and Glaucus, Memnon.
Some of the Character models may look like who the hero is,but again for this period you can use whatever you wish as the looked very similar, although you can distinguish if you want as suggested by Antipater, but is not necessary. :) .

I see. Well I heve to admit, the miniatures look great, bouth Foundry and Redoubt. Axbreaker, you have Fondry Trojans?
Axebreaker:
Yes,my army will be completely Foundry when it arrives! :lokomotive:  :walklike: :neo:
Although, remember the range works for both Greeks and Trojans alike, except they do individual character models. However, even these can be Trojans or Greeks without to much of a stretch.It\'s a nice thing about this period and region in that you can tailor your army to whatever you like. You can try Antipater\'s idea if you wish to try and better distinguish your army from your opponents by giving it a complete later appearance and shorten the shields and add more tunics.It\'s up to you as you don\'t need to do this, but it is an option if this pleases your eye.I plan on doing a bit of mixing that may not be completely accurate, but adds some nice touches without detracting from the overall period in question.
As always,I\'m willing to give advice(if I know),ideas and suggestions if wanted or needed. :D

Well I´m impressed by the miniatures of course, but at the moment I have no money for a new army, but such a project is definitely on my to do list ;)
