@Everyone
Thank you very much gentlemen,your comments help keep a fellow gamer on course. :D
@Frank Bauer
Indeed you are correct Frank in that army painter offers a chance to paint large armies in a reasonable time and to a decent standard. ;)
@Mad Mö
Chariots will be a bit later as I first want to do some more infantry to get some more practice in.I still haven\'t quite figured out how much army painter to use to get the best results.I want to be comfortable with the process before doing chariots as they will naturally be the focal point of the army. :)

Leondegrande:
BTW take thrusting spears for the chariots, no doubt about it :)
For the Greater Impact! ;)

@Leongegrande
Not only that Olaf,but the thrusting spear looks better! :thumbup: However,I did want a mix of early and later Trojan equipment to more reflect the period I choose for the Trojans and so I plan on having one with and one without.
I was thinking the General and his unit of chariots would be armed with thrusting spears to symbolize the \"old guard\" who are set in their ways and a hero leading another chariot unit with the lighter equipment to represent the young nobles trying out the latest war gear. ;)

P.S.My agents will slip you an extra gold nugget for your useful information. :ninja:

Here is my latest addition of some chariot runners and slingers.No fancy shields with these guys.Here you can see army painter as is without any fancy work to hide behind.I\'m not completely happy as I\'m still learning to use army painter and I haven\'t quite got the mix right just yet,but it\'s coming along.The nice thing is these guys painted up quick even adding a couple highlights and that in itself is a motivating factor. :sm_pirate_smile:

All right, very nice! AP gives a very smooth finish. You could probably use GW washes with the same results and less drying time, especially if you paint over the layer of shadows later on?
