My tip on painting eyes is this .....unless you can really paint them very, very good then don\'t do it at all. Eyes that don\'t look right can just ruin a nicely painted miniature and really not necessary in most cases . Painting eyes is only really needed at 40mm(perhaps not even 40mm) or larger to be completely honest. However, if you really just have to have those eyes then here is a good source for doing them:

A lot of people think that painting details on minitures takes \"only\" brushes paint and some sort of magnifier, but it\'s really about knowing about colour-palettes, knowing how lights and shadows work and what a bloody hue-shift is...

I never painted human eyes so far! =)

Edit/Ergaenzung: Ich erinnere mich gerade wie ich damals als Jugendlicher ein Heft vom deutschen Zitadellversandhandel (die ja irgednwie auch Citadel miniatures und Grenadier im Angebot hatten) in Haenden hatte, in diesem Heft wurde eindringlichst darauf hingewiesen das man doch bitte keine Punkte als Pupillen malen sollte... Wie gesagt habe ich das bisher immernoch nicht versucht.

Amen! I just fudged it up every time I tried. So for a long time, I decided not to paint them at all.
