Aztec Eagle Knight Captain

This is a Foundry Eagle Knight that I converted into a Captain/Leader by adding a back banner and some feathers to the shield for a competition.(Fingers crossed) :sm_pirate_smile:
I have plans to extend this into an army that will take some time to do,but will be fun with all the colors involved and trying out less often used paints.

Cheers
Christopher

Stunning! Though the guy looks like a crossdressing teddybear... Love the colors of the banner and the feathers. Did you model them on your own or are they prefabricated?

Cheers,
Frank

The feathers I removed from another Aztec shield and glued them onto this one.The back banner brace I made out of metal rods and wire and the pole itself comes in a banner pack that can be ordered.

TY HS. :)

I mostly used Wargames Foundry paints to do this miniature. All of my miniatures for the Aztecs are Foundry, because I think they are the best 25/28mm Aztecs and are simply superb. As of yet I own around 80 + Aztec miniatures with more still needing to be ordered.Sadly, they are not painted yet,but are on my project list for this year.
I will collect the Foundry Spanish at some time(also fantastic sculpts!),but first up are the Aztecs.
Why not run a thread on your Aztec\'s so we can see your hard work. ;)

Very nice. Any ideas which rules can be used for a aztec skirmish? I thought myself at Lord of the rings with its bows, xbows and pikes.

Well,I\'m designing my Aztecs for WAB and that\'s an army based game, although it has/had some skirmish scenario\'s.I\'ve never played Lord of the Rings and so I cannot offer any advice there other then it seems to be a popular system that many others adopt to play their skirmish games with for other periods.
Ask Tom(Diomedes) or Frank Becker as they enjoy quite a few skirmish games for what I understand.I do play some Skirmish games, but none that would fit with Aztecs.Sorry I couldn\'t be more help.

Amazing work, Christopher! Great colour use... Must have been refreshing to use all these greens and blues. :) Looking forward to more.
