[BAM] Waffen SS Pre-Order
« am: 18. Juli 2010 - 16:22:41 »

Zitat
Pre-Order: Bolt Action Waffen-SS!
Love them or loathe them the Waffen-SS were an uncompromising and dangerous opponent.
This boxed set heralds the arrival of a completely new SS range and is available fror pre-order now!
You can still get your hands on the previous SS range herebut this new one will be both far more comprehensive but also incorporate our Figure Head system – allowing you to build a unique force in posing and variation!
All models in the Waffen-SS boxed set come with separate heads. Each body type has several head variants available and every boxed set, blister pack or single model reinforcement will be have a random head attached to the base. All you need to do is clip it off and glue it into the locator hole in the models neck. Want your model looking the right? Or perhaps glancing down at his weapon? Perhaps he isn’t wearing a helmet or has a bandaged combat wound? Stacks of options are now open to you through the Figure Head system and we’ll be rolling the system out to future Bolt Action ranges…
Take a look at the pic below. It shows an SS soldat reloading his Kar 98K rifle. You can see how the Figure Head system works with a variety of different heads to make a unique model each time. The options are almost endless! What will we think of next…
The Bolt Action Waffen-SS Boxed Set contains:
ʉۢ 6-man Command Squad: Officer, NCO with MP40 SMG, 2-man radio team with rifles, Medic and a rifleman
ʉۢ 9-man squad: 2 NCOs with MP40 SMGs, 2-man MG42 LMG team and 5 riflemen
ʉۢ 81mm mortar and 3 crew
ʉۢ 2 soldats with StG44 assault rifles
This item is set for dispatch during the first week of August and as usual, models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

Germany’s armed forces in World War II were arguably the best-trained, equipped and motivated of all the major powers – understandably so in a nation geared to rearmament and aggression to its neighbours. Within these powerful forces emerged another force, the Waffen-SS, who were formed initially as armed bodyguards to Adolf Hitler himself, but later became a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

Tough, often lavishly equipped and politically indoctrinated, SS troops formed over 38 divisions and numerous other regimental and battalion-sized units, totaling nearly a million men under arms. Their armoured units won many plaudits for their actions, and although relationships between regular army units and the Waffen-SS were sometimes strained, most SS units fought courageously, sometimes ferociously, against great odds until the wars end in Berlin, 1945.
There are many examples of SS troops fighting well and within the bounds of what we can call ‘civilised war’, but too many incidents of brutality occurred for most people’s tastes. Warlord Games presents some of Germany’s toughest troops, eager to close with their enemies and put their training and equipment to the test.
Uncompromising and well-equipped, the soldiers of the Waffen-SS struck fear into the heart of many of their Allied opponents. Clad in their trademark camouflaged uniforms and displaying a tenacity and zeal bordering on the fanatical the Waffen-SS were a dangerous opponent in both attack and defence.

Hmmm...
