The Rising Sun(Japanese WWII)

(1/3) > >>

Axebreaker:
Ever since viewing Helen Bachaus(Tank Girl) WWII Japanese I felt the need to try them out.I feel they are not often done and wanted to give them a go.
I was thinking of maybe of doing Japanese paratroops ,but opted for the regular Japanese army for the South West Pacific campaigns which Included Burma,Solomon Islands,New Guinea and similar locals.
The uniforms will be largely shades of green with some lighter green tops mixed in with darker greens to give variance as was typical of Japanese uniforms.
The miniature company I\'ve started with is TAG,but I may mix in other companies. The set of rules I\'m building for is Iron Ivan\'s Red Sun,Red Death.
First up are some Scouts who often acted as snipers when in a rearguard mission. These were some of the best trained troops the Japanese would field amongst their units and therefore these guys would be rated elite. One of the scouts is wearing a grass/reed camouflage jacket that was used as a raincoat by Japanese farmers and Fishermen, but was also used by the Japanese army for it\'s camouflage ability.
I hope some of you find this interesting and let me know what you think. :sm_pirate_smile:

Very nice indeed. I like espacially the combination of green uniform/camouflage colours with those colourful bases. reminds me of those long-ago-Hawaii-holidays. Flora is exactly that way on the pacific islands.

Lt. Hazel:
