Sammelthread 1:1 Skirmish Systeme für WW2

<< < (2/2)

Piers:
Weapon distinctions mean very little... It is the man behind the weapon that makes all the difference.

Ursus Maior:
Indeed, but certain diffrences in construction or other technical details do make a diffrence on the battlefield, as they allow for diffrent tactics. E. g. the semi-automatic rifle is superior to bolt-action, as it allows for a higher rate of fire. On the other side an enormous rate of fire like that of the MG42 is a liability in prolonged battles, if your logistics are weak (Wehrmacht during the 1944 retreats).

The firepower of a typical squad varies during WW2. Group tactics can thus be influenced by technical details and general equipment, if you care for such fine details.
