Impetus magazine

Lorenzo at Impetus is thinking of starting up a magazine, so if your interested make sure to go on the Impetus forum and voice your support for this endeavour. I of course have already done so. :D

The interest is definitely there, but what will it be like?
A free online magazine? A printed one? If so, it would be similar to Extra Impetus. Also, it would be nice to have extra army-lists or rules in the magazine, but that would put people without access to the mag at a great disadvantage. Somehow... Extra Impetus is already the Imetus Magazine for me.
What I would definitely like is MUCH more eye candy. Its hard to find pics of Impetus armies on the web. DBA or Warhammer you will find a plenty, but if you look for Impetus bases, battle reports or any kind of inspiration, thats pretty rare. Impetus is an eye-candy game, it deserves to show off!
Also, how about the pricing? Can this be low cost, as a magazine should be? I recently bought 2 Mantic Magazines and was very disappointed to get some wallet-sized marketing brochures with almost no value as such. Please, if you do a magazine, make one with real gaming value - not just a meassure to sell your products.
Cheers,
Garf

Hi Graf,

You really should view the link I gave where Lorenzo is outlining his ideas and make sure you voice your support. ;) However, I will attempt to address some of what you asked. :)

I doubt free. He is asking opinions on should he go printed or pdf for PC/tablet. I voted print.

Lorenzo said.

\"The magazine would feature historical backgrounds along with army lists, tactics,
painting/assembling Units, event reports, tutorials, clarifications\"

I assume this would include plenty of eye candy.

Zitat
Also, how about the pricing?
He\'s not even in the planning stages and since how it\'s going to be distributed isn\'t even decided prices haven\'t been outlined yet. He is just seeing if there is an interest in a magazine first.

I hope this helps. :)

Hi Christopher!
Lazy me, having lost my PW for the Impetus Forum and being to lazy to reset it, just posted here because I know Loreno looks here too and theres some great people on Sweetwater to discuss with. But I\'ll look up the original thread soon, promised ;)
Sounds very, very good! Still, sounds like Extra Impetus. If this could be done at a reasonable price and available through normal mailorder-shops, I would rate it as a must buy.

Actually not really, Lorenzo is leaning more towards a Pdf through PC/Tablet which of course will make it cheaper and more readily accessible. ;) He is also looking for contributors for articles, armies, tips and tutorials. If you contribute then of course a free subscription will be offered. :)
