Not really. More like friendly games and historical match ups when possible.

As for myself if enough players show up with Sengoku era armies(Samurai, Koreans) then I\'d like to run a mini clan wars campaign within the event itself culminating in large multi player game. Since we are playing 28mm games they play pretty quick and so should work. If not enough are interested to run a campaign then maybe a small demo game of the period.
I\'m going mention this to Lorenzo.

I just talked to Lorenzo and he said he isn\'t running anything, but rather the guys from Worean are. He said he is personally coming, but will only bring Italian players if there is a tournament from my understanding.
Since I have no interest in a tournament as I don\'t much care for them and even more so I strongly dislike playing non historical match ups this wouldn\'t work for me. :thumbdown:

If it\'s a free for all tournament then I won\'t attend as I have no interest in that. However, if a small group wants to join me in a mini Sengoku period or El Cid era demo game or mini campaign then I\'m interested.

Could somebody please clear the air and say exactly what is going on and how it\'s going to be run as it\'s all very confusing. 8|

For me it is very clear that there will be held an open Impetus tournament in 28mm.  8|

I thought it was open to other things within it and not solely a tournament. I guess I assumed more things were possible and that\'s my mistake :blush2: . If it opens up to those wishing not to play in a tournament then I\'ll come, but if it remains as you quite rightly pointed out only a tournament as posted then I\'ll have to decline. Thank you for clearing it up for me.

Sadly no I don\'t. I thought it was more of a friendly gaming weekend where you could pick and choose who you wanted to game with and if enough Sengoku era players showed up I thought maybe making a little mini campaign or participation demo like game. I thought Sir Tobi was bringing Koreans and another was bringing Samurai. I also thought of bringing my El Cid army(2 armies) as well giving me more opportunities to play historical opponents. So far there is no list of players and what they are bringing to make a comparison.
Basically I thought it was just a fun get together gaming weekend where you could play historical opponents and even use other peoples armies and they yours and stuff like that. Like I said completely my fault as I made false assumptions.

In this case I\'m out, too. Same here, I\'m not interested in an open tournament. But hey, when there is enough interest in a Japan-themed impetus tournament, let\'s organize it for the AttritiCon next year in ulm. I would be very interested in that.

Sorry Leute, ich wollte keine Unruhe reinbringen.

Wollte nur wissen, ob es neben dem FOG + Impetus-Turnier auch sonstige
Demo- und Partizipationgames gibt, wo ich sinnvoll ein Wochenende spielen kann.

Ich bringe selber auch gerne ein napoleonisches Game mit (Lasalle)
oder auch gerne ein ACW-Spiel (Fire + Fury) mit jeweils zwei kompletten Armeen mit.
Ich will nur sichergehen, dass genügend Mitspieler da sind und nicht alle
in Turnieren beschäftigt sind. Sonst hänge ich da alleine rum und keiner
will mit mir spielen, weil sie in den Turnieren beschäftigt sind  

Und nochmal, ich habe überhaupt KEIN Problem mit Turnieren, ich spiele
ja selber auch oft in welchen mit oder organisiere welche.
Nur an dem Wochenende möchte ich meine Zeit gerne anders verbringen.
Ich mache auch gerne bei Impetus mit, aber nicht die ganze Zeit NUR Impetus oder
NUR FOG.

Also mir ist jetzt auch nicht ganz klar, wo die Verwirrung herkommt, der Thread-Titel ist doch relativ unmissverständlich, oder?! :huh:

Was das Turnier an sich angeht, letztes Jahr war das weder besonders wettbewerblich noch allzu zeitintensiv, für die drei Spiele braucht man mit allem drum und dran wohl max. 7-8 Stunden, blieb also noch genug Zeit für andere Dinge. Gewonnen hat auch jeder Teilnehmer was, also wen das Wort \"Turnier\" abschreckt, den kann ich beruhigen, wer das \"offene\" nicht mag, dem ist m.E. nicht mehr zu helfen, insbesondere wenn man sich die Spielerbasis in Deutschland mal vor Augen führt! Ich hatte, so wie fast alle Teilnehmer letztes Jahr viel Spaß und konnten von Lorenzo und ragazzi eine Menge lernen.

Planst du dieses Jahr auch Impetus zu spielen?!

I\'m interested! I would prefer it to be more of a mini campaign based structured event then win/loss tournament per say. Even if we cannot get enough players for something like that I would be interested in making a particpation game giving us time to collect appropriate amount of figures and terrain.

Something like 8 to 10+ players for a campaign.
or
2-6 for a participation game

It would be a cool spectacle! :cool: :thumbup:

No need to apologize as you actually helped out by helping people getting a clearer picture of what was happening. I for one might have gone and been very disappointed.

Like you I wouldn\'t want to go and the only thing going on was an open period tournament which I have no interest in.

Hmmm Fire and Fury! What scale? I have some 28mm.

I\'d be interested in:

28mm Impetus games using my El Cid or Samurai if somebody has appropriate historical opposition.

I have some 28mm ACW and so Regimental F&F or Black Powder would work for me too.

LaSalle is a fun game and I would play, but I don\'t have any figures and would only be interested in 28mm

I don\'t want to be standing around playing with my fingers while others are playing in the tournament.

I also take full blame for my misunderstanding as I assumed way too much. :blush2:
