Titel: Amazing Foundry is actually doing something ....in our interests!(Update 06.07.12)
Beitrag von: Axebreaker am 28. Juni 2012 - 23:24:19
This is not a joke folks it seems Foundry has realized that it\'s very bad policy of ripping off non UK buyers was not a good thing and are now going to charge us the same as they do UK buyers! :dance3:
Go check the Foundry prices and you will see we now pay 30% less! :smiley_emoticons_pirate_shocked: I\'m very happy as I love Foundry paints and this is good when buying bulk direct from them and should lower the prices locally too I would think. :D

Dear Sir/Madam,

While you may not have noticed yet, things are changing at Foundry and
we are the middle of a process of restructuring and reorganisation. This
will include bringing back some old ranges and reintrodcuing some old
packs that were inexplicably removed from others. This will all take
some time but we want to return to being the company we once were. As a
symbol of this we have reintroduced the English Civil War and Thirty
Years War ranges.

Although some of these things will take some time to put into place, one
immediate change we have made is to make sure that those ordering from
outside of the UK will pay the same price as everybody else. It was a
particularly bad policy that we have rectified as of today, no matter
where you live in the world you will not pay more than our domestic customers.

Watch out for further changes in the future.

yours faithfully,

Neil Littlewood

Hoffentlich kommen jetzt die fehlenden Figuren wieder. Ein generelles rerelease the ganzen alten Serien wäre schon ziemlich gut.

Hello People we are now paying 30% less permanently and if throw in the 20% off deals every other month that comes to an awesome 50% less then what we are used to paying! :smiley_emoticons_pirate_shocked:

They are bringing back old ranges as Tom pointed out which is also great.

Don\'t forget Foundry still has an excellent range of miniatures to include:

Still the best Biblical range and Ancient Germans on the market
Great Vikings
Lovely Naps and AWI
Pirates, colonial etc. etc.
+ lots more
Oh and the paints of course! :D

The army deals are pretty good now and if you wait for the 20% deals then very good!

This is only good news for us.

I suspect their profits will rise and rise and if they get some good new sculptors then it really take off. ;)

I don\'t think this is a dying move, but rather seeing things in a better light that if they charge a bit more reasonable prices then people will buy. There is more of us outside the UK then in it and they just expanded their market to get them.

Let`s say it this way, it may happen that people will now start buying Foundry Figures first time/again ;) . All of the Wargamers I know, have not bought Foundry figures for ages (directley from them), because they were priced very high for almost no reason....

Just my thoughts, I am looking forward to complete my Assyrian collection during their next 20% offer    .

I heard this on LAF forum: 8o
Zitat
Matt the manager has been asked to leave. The new guy in charge is Mr.
Ansell\'s cousin. They have listened to and noted the unhappiness of many
of their ex-customers and watched new \'sculptors\' create the type of
figures that no one would really buy, whilst the better, older stuff has
been retired. New moulds are needed for many ranges and things that
sell well / look good will be expanded. We may even see the Steampunk
rules that exist in a back room.
I\'ll say what I said on the LAF in that it\'s nice to see attention is being paid to what we say and no doubt things are heading in the right direction. It\'s also nice to able to say positive things about Foundry again and hopefully that continues. I for one would really enjoy seeing them become something like the company they used to be which was high end figures that you paid a little(not lots) more for with excellent service. So far, it sounds like they may want to go that direction again which can only be good.

Folks this is exactly what I\'ve been waiting years for them to say
the part about being the company they once were. No question at one
time they were my favourite miniature company until they jumped on the
crazy train. Good new tone from my perspective and lets hope they follow
through completely. :)

I would appreciate if they would reintroduce their special offers such as \"buy 3, get 1 free\" or the special offers of special ranges.. this had really been awesome..
Anyway, let´s see, there would be some ranges of interest ( Colonial Indian ) for me

Genau meine Meinung.

@Morty

Yes exactly and I hope they do that again. :)

@Ryan

Generally speaking it\'s 8 per pack if the figures are similar posed and 6 per pack when the figures positions are more varied. ;)

@JS
Agreed as in quite a few things they still have the best figures as after all at one time their sculptors had read like the who is who of figure sculpting.

@Everyone
I just picked up some of their fine 100% sable detail
brushes which are my favourite which I highly recommend and some paints
......and of course figures (French Naps if you want to know) :D

Didn\'t you just sell a real big bag of them in the marketplace...

@DV

True, awhile back I sold a bunch of Perry and some Foundry Naps.

Basically I found out I don\'t like plastic and cleared out my cabinets of it and quit the project. Then I started reading Black Powder and resurged my interests in Naps. My only regret was giving up the Foundry ones I had. :pinch: Fortunately it wasn\'t too much.

The new French Nap project army I\'m doing is a mix of Front Rank and Foundry of which it\'s all metal and I really like the sculpts. I will also add some Calpe French to the mix. I know many are thinking that\'s expensive, but I paint at a glacial rate so I will be buying it in stages and not all at once making it possible. ;)

I just figured out for mysself that battallion-level armys in lead and transporting does not go well together. I am a transport-gamert and rely mostly on public transport or bike, so all I can handle is some plastic... :D
If I had a big car or a home, were someone would come to game, I would go your way...

Just saw that the malburians are back... :)

Dear all,

It’s been another busy week here at Foundry, with our
great reorganisation process well under way.

One immediate issue we’ve been looking at are our postal
prices and we were pleased to find that shipping abroad has dropped phenomenally
in the last few years. So much so that as of today we can announce that the
basic international postage rate has been dropped to £5.00. UK
customers also benefit from this price review with p&p rates halved to
£4.00. While this is a good start, we’re going to be putting a
lot of effort into making it even cheaper in the future.

We can also announce that we have rereleased the massive
Malburian and Franco-Prussian War ranges in their entirety, to sit alongside the
complete English Civil War and Thirty Years War ranges. This represents
literally thousands of models, with the Franco-Prussian range alone numbering
128 packs! It may take a little time to track down some of the more elusive
moulds, but we plan on bringing back our entire back catalogue.

If you have any suggestions please feel free to get in
touch.

Yours sincerely,

Neil Littlewood, Whirling
Plenipotentiary.
