This is part 2 of thinking about
-
For my african campaigning I own a British Motor Company. Here, sometime in the future, a italian Fucileri company, backed with tanks, cause I don\'t like the bersaglieri modells, will follow.
At the moment I\'m building two Normandy fractions, the germans and the americans, cause I love fighting in the hedgerows. So I voted for these armies.
-
On this pole I limited it to only two,because it gives me a better idea of what is the direction of most players. ;) Send some pics. :)
-
For my Brits have a look at my displaced miniatures website, mentioned in my avatar. The germans and americans are still in the box on the living room cabinet (my wife hate them. :D )
-
I couldn\'t find any british troops,I used search and could not locate any. :( Do you have a title I could use. :rolleyes:

Remark: The bases of the models are repainted; also the wrecked tank --> just have a look at the second link.

this is hard axebreaker :D only 2????
after hearing about a fow club in my area i also want to start with it. but i cant really say which front i prefer. i would like to have winter panzergrenadiers but i dont like russians. and having two armies that dont match together doesnt make sense to me. i also like american paratroopers and germans in normandy but thats already covered in 28mm. so i think it would be afrika. 8th army and afrikakorps for the start.
while typing this i thought about winter panzergrenadiers from the battle of the bulge scenerio. that would be interesting too...
as i said its hard :)
when i make up my mind iam voting, but that can take a while ;)
-
no vote, because I don\'t wont more than my Brits ;-)
-
@Vingthor
I know it\'s hard :evilgrin: ,but if I leave it open to more, then the poll turns into a long wish list and not a realistic appraisal. :blackeye: Don\'t forget that I have no time limit on the poll,so when you collect an army you can take it off the wish list and add it to the owned list .Then you can add again to the wish list if you want. ;)
Speaking of Germans I was also thinking of a winter scheme,but I like the summer camo as well.I think I\'ll do one in both seasons. :beer: Of course this won\'t be until maybe next summer as I\'m all booked up with AWI at the moment. :rolleyes:

Thanks a lot for your compliments. I\'ve played only two games at the moment. In the first a German Pak 36, concealed and in hard cover, was a menace to my tanks. It was a total horror.
In the second game, the Pak was outmaneuvred and Sonic lost all his tanks, with non loss on my side. Not only the waves, also the desert was ruled by my troops. :thumbsup:
-
Sounds like a good time. :) Send some pics of your next game if you can. :D
-
I think after my french, I will buy me some italian tanks and in the far, far future i wish to collect a British Rifle Company supported by many Churchill tanks
-
Hello Axebreaker,
I have a verĂ½ big Red Army
Full Strekolvy battalion
and
full tank battalion
-
@General Electric
Wow! 8o That is large.I plan on collecting a German army(Viking div. maybe)and the two fronts I like are the Western Front because of terrain atmosphere(Shattered French villages and bocage) and The Eastern Front because of the movie Cross of Iron where resolute German soldiers throw back hordes of Red Army troops.Great Stuff! :D

... The Eastern Front because of the movie Cross of Iron where resolute Germen soldiers throw back hordes of Red Army troops.Great Stuff! :D
Yes and you have the same feeling too if you played the Germans.
Two Years ago I played with friends the battle of Kanev ( Largest Airdrop of the Red Army ). This time a played the Germans and it was a short run.
Because everywhere the Russians dropped into the table ;(. And the Germans was badly scattered and understrenght.
-
Well then,I guess the system plays realistic then. ;) The biggest reason I like the Germans is of course the armor,they look so much better then everyone elses. :thumbup:
-
@Anyone
Do they even make mini\'s for the Japanese? :rolleyes: I like the Germans,but I\'m curious about the Japanese.
-
Do they even make mimi\'s for the Japanese?
As I said before...
... there are NO Japanese miniatures or briefings made by BF.
Maybe there will be some, in the far far future, if and when BF decides to cover the PTO.
;)

@MacB,
Thank you. :) I\'m sure that might interest some players who checked Japanese as an army to collect. 8)
