-
Und hier für die Statistiker unter uns:
http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/coolminiornot/sedition-wars-battle-for-alabaster/

@Missionen
@Minis
bestehen aus 1-5 Teilen in der Regel. Sind aus Plastik.
@Stretch Targets

Here\'s a quick summary of what\'s going on. The Vanguard are battling at the edge of occupied space to put down the Firebrand rebellion - a slave army who have risen up against their SolCon masters. Firebrand researchers are working on a benign nano-tech system in Alabaster Station - when *something* happens, and they are wiped out by The Strain - a nano virus that consumes and re-shapes organic and non-organic materials into the Strain construct.
@mehrfach Spiele ordern
Wer mehrfach z.B.

\"If we hit $500,000 I\'ll write a novel. I\'m going to regret saying that.\"
\"If we hit a million, I\'ll write a trilogy.

Update #32: Paging Mr Banks. We seem to have a leak in one of the vents....
What happens when an unstable conscript maintenance engineer has to cut his way into Alabaster station because someone forgot to leave an airlock open?
\"Killed in action while fighting Firebrand rebels in the Salazar interdiction, Niven Banks, Tech Officer 1st class was uploaded to a battlefield transponder. Under severe viral attack, the transponder suffered catastrophic failure while parts of Banks persona were still reaching engrammatic resolution. Safety interlocks failed due to a Firebrand virus in Vanguard systems and Banks resuscitated to re-enter the battlefield while suffering a massive psychotic break. Combat triggered hallucinations led to a lethal friendly fire incident involving nine other Vanguard.\"
On permanent hazard duty, Niven was \"lucky\" enough to be doing external maintenance in standard issue space armor when the outbreak occurred. Now armed to the teeth with whatever he\'s managed to jury rig, Engineer Banks is going to do anything it takes to get off this &@^#(!ing station!
Get Niven for $10! This version of him will only be available during this Kickstarter and at conventions. We have big plans for the character though, expect to see more of him later! Expected to ship March 2013.
And of course....
If we hit this stretch, it looks like Mr Banks won\'t make it off this tub after all. Every one who purchase Niven Banks gets his Strained version free! Ships the same time as Niven.

Von ein paar netten Leuten zusammengetragen:
Infos über die Regeln/über die Spielmechaniken.
-The \'Reflex Mode\' means that certain models have a special ability to react to actions made by the \'Active Mode\' player (generally attacks I would assume). For example the Vanguard Samaritan troopers reflexive action is that they can fire at an attacking enemy when it get\'s within X amount of squares of it. This can for example be used when guarding corridors or covering the back of teammates. The Phase 1 Strains/Revenant\'s reflexive action on the other hand means they can advance and charge up to 4 squares at any enemy that attacks, but fails to kill it. See it as a representation of their relentless advancement against anything that can be infected, Zombie style.
-The Strain player can make Phase 1 Revenant\'s \'self combust\' (or as Rob put it \'Juice\') when near enmemies to infect them with the nano-virus. This mechanic can also be used to turn the Revenant into new nano-clouds, used for infection and evolution.
-Infected humans can at certain points of infection be controlled by the Strain player to attack their own, and I believe also be made to self combust.
-You can use the Vanguard \'Tactical Network\' to \'mark\' enemies, making them easier to hit I believe. Barker Zosa (Vanguard heavy weapons specialist) for example can shoot \'marked\' enemies through walls, basically destroying the wall and whatever lurks behind it.
-There\'s also \'Hurley\', kind of like the Vanguards A.I system that deploys drones assisting the Vanguard in offensive and defensive situations. I believe these \'drones\' are the so-called \'Hoover Tanks\' we\'ve seen. The Hurley A.I can do lot\'s more stuff when it comes to the Vanguard Tactical Network, but not everything is revealed yet.
-The Vanguard soldiers have the ability to \'cloak\' using their Opticammo mechanic (similar to everyones favorite Predator). This mechanic can be represented by using the \'clear miniature\' versions of the Vanguard troopers/heroes, it is not neccessary though. The Strain cannot use reflexive actions against cloaked troopers, they will probably be more difficult to hit and/or damage as well.
-When injured but not killed certain (or all, not sure) Strain enter into \'regenerative\' mode where they do more damage and are more \'infective\' (similar to an injured Xenomorph bleeding acid or the Lambent Berserker becoming more aggressive and leaking damaging imulsion when injured). This can visually be represented by the \'Glow in the Dark\' versions of the Strain models, once again that is not needed for gameplay, just a cool little extra.
-The Strain player can use \'nano-clouds\' to:
a)Infect living humans into Phase 2 Strain (Stalker/Quasimodo).
b)Re-animate dead humans into Phase 1 Strain (Revenant).
c) Evolve certain Strain into more advanced forms, turning a Phase 2 \'Stalker\' into a Phase 3 \'Scythe Witch\' for example. Basically making his troops more advanced/deadly as the game rolls on.
-Rules for the Vanguard to use \'power shields\'.
-Basic game is standard 1 vs. 1 but a complete solo-play campaign will be included called \'Lights Out\'. Rules for co-op and multi-player games will be added later on, probably with the next \'Firebrand Rebellion\' expansion.
-9 scenarios with a running narrative (The Outbreak Campaign). And I believe something like 10 stand-alone scenarios.
-Downloadable campaign including a huge \'final battle\' scenario involving 70-80 models. Not sure but I believe this is called the \'Quarantine Campaign\'.
-
Hallo Dead Space Design! :)
-
-
\"The crew of the Calamity never thought they\'d get caught up in the going\'s on of a remote science station. Still, the take from handling the \"special\" cargo they hauled from that creepy moon made everything worth it. That and a bit of RnR on a cushy science facility with all the mod cons unavailable on a deep space freighter was a good morale booster for the crew.
Now Captain Ian Reins, his XO Bella Grange, enforcer Phoenix Corbett, and the mysterious and deadly pilot Delta Chen have found themselves caught between Vanguard forces and slavering mutants intent on infecting them with some kind of nano-virus. Still, the crew has dealt with misfortune before, and they intend to get out of this bit of worry like they always do... intact, alive, and broke.\"

(http://www.coolminiornot.com/images/kickstarter-sw/SW-KS-Stretch-520k.jpg)
\"The Solar Conglomerate rarely issues death orders for escaped convicts or conscripts, but the fugitive known as Keegan Kor, the Snake of Garrado, the Blade, King Kor, or Keegan Rampage, is one such individual.
A top ten fugitive on the Bounty Dog Network for six years running, his crimes pale in comparison to his exploits as a fugitive. Convicted to a conscription sentence for illegal free running and snatch theft, Keegan soon found himself evading the law using quick wits and an unnatural talent as an autodidact. He has been at large for almost ten years, becoming increasingly more skilled at escape and evasion to the frustration of Solcom enforcement and BDN agents.
Prior to his conviction Keegan was a non-augmented human in perfect physical condition. Since then, he has been amplified by black market chop docs and Gazui clan enforcement medics. He boasts an impressive array of edge Amps that enhance his considerable survival instincts and acrobatic abilities. Considered an expert knife fighter, Keegan is to be approached with extreme caution.
Despite his reputation, when faced with life or death survival he often places the survival of others above his own. In many cases he has saved his own potential captors from death, and even put an end to the pirate Czarna Kolt’s reign of terror along the Meridian Edge.
His status as a cult figure and the ratings he pulls in on the BDN has led some to believe that he may actually be a media figure created for the benefit of public manipulation. Still it is assumed that the Fugitive has now made contact with the Firebrand in order to find amnesty from the constant pursuit by the BDN and Solcom Regulators.
The reward for his live capture is substantial.\"

:smiley_emoticons_xmas_popcorn_essen:

Aktueller Stand: 657K
Damit ist Akosha gesichert!
Neues Ziel:
Morgan has decided to one up Akosha, and suit up in full Wildfire bio-hazard gear. Environmentally self contained for the most destructive of outbreaks, the suit provides enhanced protection from the strain infection. Armed with an incinerator, scanner, and advanced medpack, Morgan is ready to hunt the strain down and burn them out of Alabaster station.
-
Aktueller Stand: 703K
(http://www.coolminiornot.com/images/kickstarter-sw/SW-KS-Stretch-700k-A.jpg)
Damit wurde dieses Ziel erreicht, nächstes Ziel:
... stupid zombie Strain... grrr...
\"Close combat with the Strain is lethal, so Kara has decided to upgrade to her personal suit of Gnosis power armor. Built for extreme combat - with a self contained environmental envelope, internal medical systems, and enhanced tac-net connections - the Gnosis is the equalizer that the Vanguard will need if they\'re going put a stop to the Strain\'s malignant expansion.\"
If we hit this stretch, every Biohazard set gets Gnosis armored Kara free! Ships March 2013, unpainted and unassembled. And not to worry, Kara will still come out for a spin if we miss this stretch, and will be available for $25 in the CKPM if we don\'t hit it!
-
Die magische Zombicide-Grenze wurde geknackt!!!
Aktueller Stand: $783,852
Und noch 11 Stunden!
-
Hätte ich doch nie in diesen Thread geschaut! Jetzt hab ich mich auch dranhängen müssen!
-
Aktueller Stand: $800,576
\"Bulkhead doors, airlocks, and walls can slow the progress of a tactical breach. Trained to use Exo-armor in tight conditions, Barker\'s Aphid industrial power-frame is perfect in the cramped conditions of Alabaster station. Customized with armor plating, industrial breaching tools and a close range kinesis shredder, Barker uses this suit to get to them before they can get to you. \"
If we hit this stretch, Barker Zosa and his loader frame will be included in every Biohazard set! Ships March 2013, unpainted and unassembled. But not to worry, he\'ll be available if we don\'t hit it for $25.
Thank you all for your wonderful support! It\'s been a blast!
Das muß doch zu schaffen sein!
@Maximus
-
Ich hab auch noch was draufgelegt! :pilot_1:
-
(http://www.coolminiornot.com/images/kickstarter-sw/SW-KS-Stretch-Final-2.jpg)

A chat with Mike McVey
So while at GenCon, I got to talk with the man, himself, Mr. Mike McVey, about how things have been progressing since the finish of the phenomenal conclusion of his Sedition Wars Kickstarter.
When asked about the Kickstarter event, Mike said that they were the longest days of his life. Every day he would continually be blown away by the support. Never in his wildest dreams would he ever think that the project would have gone as far as it did. He said there were was what he’d hoped they would get, then what he was excited that he would get, and then what he would dream he would get, and the project blew beyond even that.
Talking about the the product they were able to create with such funds available, Mike said that he always makes sure that quality is number 1 in everything he makes. When he produces a model, his name is right there on it, and so if it’s bad, then everyone can see who is to blame. As such, at even the base funding level, he wanted to have a top-notch product for the consumers. With the added funds, he was able to make an even better product. He is always proud of the final models he puts out.
When asked about what he thought had made the kickstarter so successful, the first response was that he was prepared. He wanted to thank the team behind the look of the Kickstarter and for all the planning that went into the campaign right from the start. They had pre-created a lot of the stretch goals, he confessed that with the rapid rise in funding, the last few were sort of on-the-spot creations. The next was that the product was an already finished thing, for the most part. With this in place, the project could show off actual models and actual components of gameplay right away. Contributors were not being asked to fund a fuzzy idea or a concept, but a real game ready to be put into their hands. It gave a sense of knowing their money would be put to use on something they could already evaluate in some way. Finally, there was an emphasis on listening to the community. There was active involvement with the comments from the project as well as looking out on the web where the project was being discussed and actually engaging with those that might have had questions or suggestions. While there was a finished product, they were flexible to make changes where they were called for.
Switching gears, we talked for a bit about what brought about the idea of having Sedition Wars as a board game. For that, it was all about being self-contained. There are a lot of skirmish games out there already, and asking gamers to accept another would be possibly rather difficult. So instead, the idea of having an all-inclusive product, where everything necessary to get immersed in the world and fight your friends in a great setting would be right there.
There was talk, though, of looking into making a tablet-top minis game based on the Sedition Wars universe. So we hope to hear more about that.
Looking to the future, they are already working on expansions for the game. The huge success of the campaign meant that the lead-up time until the first expansion has been cut down. So look for more on that coming soon.
Finally, Mike wanted to really say thank you to everyone out there that helped the campaign. He simply could not stress enough how grateful he was to those that supported the game. You helped make a product he was already proud of into something truly astonishing.

Conscript Vokker Dargu
Height: 1.35 meters
Weight: 80 kilograms
Eyes: Cybernetic implants – no retinal imprint
Hair: Black Gene-Index: Human/ Pre-augment
Conscript Inception Date: 201.10.4036 Solar Reckoning
Augments:
• Kyoshi Heavy Industries AG field generator
• Omnium Systems Meta-Cortical implant
• Kyoshi Heavy Industries Integrated Control Optics
Profile: Corporate insubordination charges led to Vokker Dargu’s downgrade from Full Citizen to Conscript Servile as an industrial technician third class. Due to an aptitude with gravity manipulators and a bio-signature with a low rejection threshold to cybernetic implantation he was involuntarily augmented and promoted to industrial technician first class. After serving in this capacity on good behaviour for thirteen years, his conscription restraints and cortical clamp were removed, and he was granted Provisional Release autonomy.
During a warranty based upgrade to his meta-cortical implant an unclassified code-entity breached his cortical firewall. The entity obliterated AI personality controls designed to keep his mind in check. System upgrade records indicate that the entity transferred in during an allegedly secure software upgrade. Without AI fail-safes in place, Vokker was free to act without worry of personality suppression.
His escape resulted in the deaths of twenty-eight medical and sixteen security personnel.
As per Rogue Conscript Protocol a warrant for Terminal Reclamation was issued 028.23.4039.1
Traceback disable commands to his cybernetics have failed and his whereabouts were unknown until the Conscript insurrection on Achilles.
Vanguard intelligence analysis indicates that his systems have been modified beyond current specifications, and he has been altered cosmetically to conceal his identity. His bio-signature was present during the co-ordinated attack on the Vanguard Bastion Arms of Sorrow, in which four hundred and seventy three Vanguard troopers and twenty four Special Forces elite were slain before the Arms of Sorrow could repel the six thousand attacking Conscripts. He was not among the casualties of that battle.
It is likely Vokker is serving as a combat co-ordinator in the Conscript uprising – Using tactical systems and precognition to lead pro-active counter-attacks on Vanguard forces. To date his bio-signs have been detected in fifty seven combat incidents with Vanguard troops.
He remains at large.
Capabilities:
Qualified for a Master level license with an AG generator, Vokker is an expert with kinetic fields and gravity suppression. His AG implant is capable of shifting a hundred kilograms of mass without strain. For manipulating larger masses he must be coupled with an external power supply. Even without external power, he can strike with kinetics to inflict lethal blows to anything within range of his AG field effectors.
His meta-cortex implant is a moderate grade cyber-brain. Vokker’s mind may house one or more expert systems capable of serving as tactical analysis and intelligence gathering meta-routines. Note that the Omnium implant allows limited quantum prediction, granting Vokker low grade precognitive ability and enhanced predictive instinct. Combined with his proficiency in AG field manipulation, he may be capable of deflecting directed projectile weapons fire. His sixth sense will be able to detect dangerous situations with a moderate degree of certainty. This is probably why he has avoided Reclamation for so long.
The Kyoshi Control Optics suite linked to his meta-cortex allows Vokker to index and co-ordinate the efforts of several other conscripts through remote communication. This system no doubt aids him in tactical unit co-ordination.
All of these systems are well concealed. Vokker can easily pass for a full citizen - albeit augmented - as long as his conscription transponder is suppressed and his conscript ID tattoo remains concealed. Assuming that these safeguards have not been removed already.
This combination of systems and his inconspicuous appearance makes Vokker effectively a sleeper agent capable of sensing events minutes before they occur and fading away from danger undetected. In addition, the rogue electronic entity that is currently installed within his cortex may have further capabilities that enhance him beyond his current specifications. His termination is a high priority, and reclamation of his systems vital to understanding the threat facing the Vanguard and the Solar Conglomerate.

Zoll ist manchmal schon komisch....
Now that shipping is underway, here\'s a link to alternate Kara\'s stat card, the resin version included in Biohazard and above pledges.
http://www.coolminiornot.com/images/kickstarter-sw/ALT-Kara_Black_v3.pdf
That\'s a high res version suitable for printing, and the JPEG version is below.
For EU based backers, HM (no S) customs is still saying they are backlogged so we\'ve gone ahead and shipped everything else today, and your Karas will follow once the government figures out that they\'re harmless. Just one of those things, please accept our apologies for the wait.
With any luck, everyone, everywhere will have their games this week, except maybe Australia / New Zealand which takes a little longer to transit.

Arms of Sorrow - stand alone game but can also be used as an expansion for BfA.
Release date late 2013 (that depends on a later point)
MSRP $90
Miniatures - 20+ new sculpts, Vanguard versus Strain only about half seen so far and some of those are still in a WIP state.
I\'ve asked Mike if the Firebrand or Bounty Hunters appear in AoS I don\'t believe they do that\'s for the next expansion. I\'ll let you know when I hear back.
The game is a good bit further on in the development stage than it appears in the picture from GAMA.
Expect to hear something more official in the next few weeks but Mike doesn\'t want to say anything yet until it\'s 100% definite.
That is not a generic Gnosis suit.
The Arms of Sorrow is a Bastion class ship and is in orbit over Alabaster station at the time of BfA. The game/expansion takes place on board the AoS from the current fluff at the end of BfA the AoS has been compromised by the Strain, Kara and her team are MIA (so expect other Vanguard characters to feature). 80% of the crew have been \"turned\" the rest have evacuated and a small force is left trying to hold back the Strain. The Strain are trying to take over the ship and fly it into the Alabaster system core where the Vanguard and Firebrand forces are currently engaged. The Strain are ultimately looking for new resources. The AoS AI Tumult has been unable to engage the self destruct so is instead trying to crash the AoS into the nearest star to prevent the strain spreading.
From trask at livingdice.com via SMV forums who spoke with Mike at GAMA
Mike McVey indicated that he wanted to release \"satellite\" expansions usable with Arms of Sorrow and Battle for Alabaster.
He indicated that the satellite games required a lot of resources to publish and they \"might well kickstart it\" (it being Arms of Sorrow and the satellites) as an alternative.
That said, his final word was \"not sure.\"
So it might get a Kickstarter to fund further expansions to BfA and AoS but nothing has been decided one way or another on that front yet.

Official Post:
Hi guys
When we fist conceived Arms of Sorrow (quite some time ago...) it was going to be a small expansion for Battle for Alabaster - primarily designed to tie-up the storyline from the first game, and continued the fight between the Strain and Vanguard. That would then set up a larger release which would introduce two new factions. As we started to develop AoS, it soon became clear that what we were in fact working on, was another product the size of Battle for Alabaster - which would be a stand alone game in it\'s own right. This left me in a difficult position - I had already announced Arms of Sorrow (at the end of the BfA rule book), but I desperately wanted to bring in the new factions as well.
What I have decided to do, is (broadly speaking) both.
Arms of Sorrow will be a direct continuation of Battle for Alabaster, with the action taking place on the Vanguard Bastion ship. It will be a stand alone game of the same size as Battle for Alabaster. It will contain all new miniatures for Vanguard and Strain, counters and tokens, completely new tiles and a new rule and scenario book. The core rules will be the same as BfA, but it will introduce some new elements (which would be usable in either game). At the same time we will release two smaller expansions - one for Firebrand and one for Bounty Dogs. - Each will contain brand new miniatures, cards, rule and scenario book, counters and some new tiles. These will be usable with either BfA or AoS, though the narrative will link them in primarily with AoS.
It just makes more sense to me to release the new factions as expansions - so if you already have BfA, you don\'t need to buy the game again (which is essentially what you will be doing if AoS was Firebrand vs Bounty Dogs) to get the new material. Or if you just want the Firebrand, you don\'t have to buy the Bounty Dogs as well (and vice-versa).
We\'re already pretty deep into development on this stuff and 90% of the miniatures are done for AoS. I\'m not going to talk about release dates at the moment though.
As a preview, we are going to have resins of two of the character miniatures for AoS at Salute this weekend - Phaedrus Chirurge and Commodore Grist. We\'ll have very limited numbers of both for sale.
Phaedrus is on a 40mm base in this picture, Grist on a 50mm
Anyway - I hope that answers some of your questions about what we\'re planning.
cheers
mike
