[font=\'Calibri]My interest in the French and Indian War is twofold in that I both have an interest in the skirmish
fighting(little wars)with Indians, Coureurs de Bois etc. and the more formal fighting between the Regulars of the British and French. I\'ll
start with the French and then move on to the British over time.
[/font][font=\'Calibri]I would probably have started with the skirmish aspect first, but my friend Mike is an absolute fan of the Seven Years War and wants to start gaming Maurice. While I don\'t much care for the Seven Years War I want to support him so I started the formal F&IW battle material first, because the regiments I will be doing while based in North America/Canada for F & IW look exactly the same as the ones fighting in Europe. In fact the battalions serving in North America had their parent regiment/HQ stationed in Europe.[/font]
Figures are from Front Rank and the lovely banner is from GMB. Typical of French units of the time I went with a light grey and white
combination and then added a red which are the regimental colours. I used AP with extensive highlights added to do the unit.

Die Uniformen sehen echt brillinat aus. Ganz toll der Effekt vom weiß.
FIW ist auch bei mir gerade \"IN\". Daher bin ich gespannt wie es bei dir weitergeht...

Sehr schoen angemalt, basiert und praesentiert.
Wenn meine Quebecois nicht so extrem separatistisch drauf waere haette ich die Franzosen/Quebekker wohl auch schon angefangen.

Ganz großes Kino ist das Weiß der Uniformen, da muss ich dem Don Recht geben. Allerdings sollten die Minis entweder Augen bekommen, oder diese Partien sollten dunkler daherkommen, so sind die UNDEAD!
Insgesamt bleiben die Minis aber schick!

sehr schöne Arbeit, ein kleines \"aber\" findet sich doch in der Darstellung. Die Franzosen hatten keine zwei gleichen Fahnen, immer eine \"weiße\" und eine farbige Fahne. sorry Leute, das war nunmal so.

wieso das denn ? ?( die franzosen hatten noch viel mehr als zwei gleiche fahnen im regiment ;)
das regiment hatte EINE \"weisse\" drapeau colonel plus eine anzahl von drapeaux d\'ordonnance ... da dies SYW ist sind es \"meist\" nur noch 2 flaggen pro bat und davon hatte das erste die \"weisse\" drapeau colonel ....
da das I.bat nicht in die neue welt gereist ist im falle de berry, traegt axebreakers truppe richtigerweise 2 mal d\'ordonnance

Sehr schöne Truppe, muss ich schon sagen. Absolut großes Kino.
Das Weiß der Uniformen finde ich auch sehr gut getroffen. Da sehen meine leider etwas zu grau aus.
Und das mit den Fahnen stimmt schon so (siehe auch Kronoskaf). Es gab nur eine \"weiß\" Fahne, die restlichen waren alle in der gleichen Farbgebung, wie diese von Christopher im Falle des Regiments Berry dargestellt wurden.

Yes they do look somewhat like well dressed zombies don\'t they! :laugh1: Without the lighting and on the tabletop it doesn\'t look so intense I promise, but I will take that into mind and try to darken up the eye line next time around. :)

As far as I know each battalion had at least two flags and they would be the same except the colonel\'s flag, however the white colonel\'s flag was never taken to North America and remained in Europe as the regimental HQ was based there. Regiments deployed battalions to North America, but not the entire regiment as far as I know.
If you have other factual information to contradict me I very much would like to read this please. :)

OK ich revidiere meine Ausage gemäß den Fahnen, da habe ich etwas falsches gelesen ;( , ich habe meine Quellen nochmal Studiert und dort sind die Angaben gemäß den Fahnen korrekt ^^
