Hello everyone, :D
This is from my Early HYW English collection.This unit represents Lord Thomas Beauchamp\'s Earl of Warwick and his retinue of Knights and men at arms.The knight carrying the Banner of St. George is Sir Richard FitzSimon.The knights are all modeled after real life knights and nobility.Tell me what you think. :rolleyes:

Perfect as usual! :rolleyes: love those shields.
-
Wow the look great. thumbs up!
-
very nice work!! youve mixed in some teutonics, right?
-
Thank you. :D No,I didn\'t mix in teutonics.It\'s that some of the knights are in tournement or dress armour that was worn at the time.On campaign of course they would dispence with this.I use it to futher distinguish them from the men at arms,and for the simple reason it looks cool.:thumbup:
-
Wow. Again an impressive job! :thumbsup:
-
i dont know much about the hyw so i thought they were teutonics :D
-
Very good! Perhaps some knights have a little to modern equipment for early HYW.
-
@Ghibeline
Thank you 8o Please be more specific on \"modern\"equipment,because I don\'t agree. :whistling: My models match up with Crecy and Poitiers very well. :thumbup:The Heraldry is correct and they are armed only with swords,shields,maces and hand axe.All my equipment is in accordence with Osprey books covering this time period.I believe Osprey books are one of the best,if not the best source material for uniforms,equipment,and battles. ;)
-
Christopher, you are absolute right with the choice of your miniatures! :hail: I thought the helmet of the standard bearer (St. George) is to modern, but I checked the Ospreys. I was not aware that this helmet was used that early!
-
If I sounded very defensive,that wasn\'t my intent. :) Like almost all of us here I wanted to be as accurate as possible with my units. :thumbup: Speaking of the HYW how are your units coming along?The last I looked,they looked good.Send in your new units. :D

I was very lazy, started with pirates etc. I have to focus again on the HYW army. This week I get new knights and I hope after Nottingham I can show a little more.
-
You did an impressive job on them! :thumbsup:

BOOOOOOOOM!The crew sends another ball down range and are very relieved it didn\'t explode while firing :roflmao: .This is my latest installment to this thread.(It\'s been awhile :whistling: )
I decided to base them on a removable base for ease of casualty removal.
Now,this should make a few French knights nervous! :diablo:

You productivity is astonishing... and at that quality. Great miniatures once more. :thumbsup: It\'s only a pity, that the pictures are that small. Usually you posted larger ones that allowed some closer looks.
-
Ty very much. :D I seem to be having a problem with all my pictures of the cannon at the moment with some very small and others huge where you can see the brush strokes.The pictures I see right now are not small nor are they large.I\'ll experiment and see what happens until I get a better size.I\'ll try and add some larger ones soon. :)
-
I now just added some larger pictures and I hope you can see more of the detail you requested. :D
-
Much better! It is simply rude to deprive us of the sweet details! :D Again... great work there! :thumbsup:
-
Well, as awesome as ever :thumbsup:
But to make, a French knight nervous...not really, not with the accuracy of an early medieval cannon and a crew of peasants :D
-
@Everyone
Thank you. :D

Was reported to be said by the late French knight Jauques de Cheval moments before a cannon ball removed his head from his shoulders in regards to the accuracy of English cannon! :pinch: :roflmao:

Sehr schöne Einheiten! Allerdings ist die Fahne von St. Georg der Ritter zu weiß...

@tomrommel1
Thank you. :D
@Tankred
Thank you and yes the banner is too white.Both banners are temporary as they are just photocopy\'s until I get time to paint them.(I didn\'t like a pole with no banner) ;)
-
Great work! :)
-
absolutely delicious !
I like the era, I like the miniatures and I like the way you painted them.
