This is the start of my 2nd \"Das Reich\" PanzerKompanie.I\'m beginning with my infantry support using a Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier platoon.I used a mix of Pea Dot,Oak Leaf and a few in German Fieldgrey trousers.
I\'ll add more to this thread as I finish stuff.
Next up is some NW41 Rocket Launchers. :evilgrin:
Later vechicles will be added.
I hope some of you enjoy the pics. :)
Of Note:The idea is they are conducting operations through a village with some crumbling walls showing and the cobblestone streets are a bit overgrown.This will be the theme for my whole army.We are fighting Late War Normandy at our club.

Servus Chris,
die sehen phantastisch aus. Bin schon auf mehr gespannt. :hail:

Oi Mr Axe. They look splendid. Well done!! My \"Dark Nights\"(I like the phrase) are a lot darker and you have to look very close to see the oak leaf pattern. Really nice work. Also waitin`for more.
Regards
Philip

Wie groß sind die? Und du hast es geschafft, ein Camo auf sie auf zutragen, ich scheiter da schon öfters bei 28mm ..
-
That look very impressive!
The camo pattern and the choose of colors is first class and looks very realistic. I didn\'t thought that this quality could be achieved on 15 mm (I guess).
Thank you for sharing and I am eagerly waiting for the next pictures too.
Ciao

@Everyone
Thank you for support and the nice compliments! :phatgrin:

Wirklich ausgesprochen gut! Die Farben der Tarnkleidung sind sehr gut gewählt und die Einheit wirkt klasse und sieht genau nach Normandie aus.
Are you sure that there were Eagles on the left camouflage sleeves?
-
@Tankard
Ty very much for the compliment. :D
Are you sure that there were Eagles on the left camouflage sleeves?
Nice catch! :) Yes,on the left sleeve of the Pea Dot pattern there were indeed eagles(although not all),but on the Oak Leaf pattern a more educated member on the FOW web page pointed out that there were not.I decided to keep it on the oak leaf as well as the historically correct Pea Dot because I like the visual. ;) :beer:

Klasse Bemalung und auch die Basengestaltung ist toll :thumbup:

super, genail bemalt! :hail:

The pic with the collar tabs should be removed. EDIT: Has happened, so cheers!
Excellent work, apart from that legal nitpick.

@Everyone
Ty very much! :phatgrin:
@Grenadier Christian
Ty,I\'m glad you liked the mini\'s. :)
Did you notice something missing from the heading of this thread?On the collar tab is that a SS marking or is it a Heer tab?Hard to tell from my perspective and deliberate.The models in question have two collars and I painted it with a divide to satisfy both historical players (one collar)and those sensative to the law(two collars).Tough one that,but at 15mm is easier then 28mm due to the difficulty to seperate the two at this scale.This enabled me to make the collar what you wish to think it is,but it is not clearly shown and can be argued both ways.This was on purpose as I was aware I would be posting on this forum and some might object.It\'s intent is a wargamer showing off his toys and has no political stance behind it and this was taken into account when painting. ;) :)
Cheers
Christopher
P.S.If my explanation still does not satisfy you,I\'ll remove the pic and replace it with another.It will be shame as I wanted to show all 4 sides,but I wish to avoid any arguments on this subject ,because this topic has been talked into the ground on another thread.If your curious on my views then look up the thread.I\'ve forgotten the title,but it talks about the law and symbols of the Third Reich.I\'m sure a moderator can refer you to it.I\'m flexible and will remove it if you need me too,but please think over my explanation. :)

-
@To anyone it may concern
Picture #2 has been removed and replaced with another photo.Those that wish to see the right side of the regiment should look into FOW Gallery underneath the same heading of The Third Reich\'s Dark Knights.I\'m sorry if this is an inconvience for some,but I wish to avoid conflict on this thread.I hope this then meets the standard of any offended parties.I\'m a wargamer and I wish to leave it there.

@Tankred
I would like to add that you were partly correct on the eagles on the sleeves of the camoflage smocks/Jackets in that it was against regulations,but many broke regulations did this out of espirit de corps and individualism.Not an entire platoon probably,but I liked the look. :)

Here is my latest installment of NB 41\'s.I added more crew in German Fieldgray unforms to the mix of camo to show they are in a more supporting role then actual frontline troops.I again took some liberities with uniforms to reflect the individual nature of these troops.I have some more pics under the same title in the FOW web page if you want some different angles.I hope some of you like this new installement. :) If you see a smoke trail in the sky,then jump for cover! :evilgrin:

It is hard to comment on your minis as the pics are very dark. Any chance of you lightening them up ?
-
@Desert Rat
Sure,when I have time and it\'s a sunny day. ;)
I use 3 daylight photolamps and photobox.I try and take my pics for a tabletop impression. My models are dark and that\'s on purpose,because that\'s how they appear on the table.I like my lamps outside the screen to avoid any glare on the models.The downside to not using my lamps directly on the mini\'s,but through a screen is the amout of daylight available.On a sunny day may pics are more bright,but at night or a cloudy day they come out darker.This can be seen in that my first set of pics are brighter and my second set are darker.This inconvenience is worth it to avoid glare on my mini\'s.The first pic from the NB 41 is bright enough to see the detail,but if you need more I\'ll take some when it\'s a little more sunny and I have some time.I\'ll send you a PM when I\'ve done so. :)

Hello Everyone,
This is my latest edition for this thread.This is my first attempt at painting vechicles.They are 3 Sd Kfz 251\'s and 1 Sd Kfz 250/9 that was sent on accident,that I then decided to use as my command track as it stands out from the others. ;)
I Like my vechicles dirty and worn,but not muddy at 15mm,because I don\'t think it turns out at this size very well.It was a real challenge painting them,because it\'s very different from what I normally do.I block painted them and did some controled dry brushing, black lining,and a very little bit of ink.
I decided on an ambush camo scheme that I have always found to be very interesting. :toocool:
I experimented with lighting,so please excuse the different shades. :rolleyes: Perhaps, if you have time you could tell me which pics looked the best and any pointers. :D
As a note I added a few brighter pics to the Nabelwerfers and HQ + spotter team for those who wanted a brighter pic. :)
Well Folks,here are my armoured transports,I hope you like them. :)

Hello axebreaker,
fantastic minis and i like the details, the Camo and the bases very much. I wish i can see them in natura (Sommerwind would be a great chance if you have time to attend). :thumbup:
The halftracks are great, too. Did you paint the camo with an airbrush?
By the way, you ordered SdKfz 251?
Well, all halftracks are the smaller SdKfz 250 variant! ?(
You should have a word with your supply officer. :keeporder:
It would be also very nice, if you could post the pictures on the german FOW forum too. :)
Greetings
Wolflord

Ty very much,glad you like them. :) I haven\'t heard of Sommerwind,is that a FOW tournement?

No airbrush was harmed in painting these vechicles,it was all done by hand. ;) One day I plan on trying out an airbrush when I\'ve saved up some pennies for a nice one. :)

Ooops,I wasn\'t aware of that. :pinch: I\'m not the asute observer on WWII mini\'s as I\'m pretty new to collecting this time period.Thanks for the information.The good thing is,at least they were used for the purpose I have in mind. :rolleyes:
It would be also very nice, if you could post the pictures on the german FOW forum too.
Sure,I\'ll do just that. ;)
