Hello Everyone,

I see the forum is adding some fantasy threads here and there and so I thought I would pile in as well! sm_party_box I mostly do historical material of late,but I used to do a lot of Fantasy.I still like it and enjoy painting the stuff as it\'s a very fun way to let ones imagination roam and just be a carefree kid. :sm_pirate_biggrin:

These are some Savage Orc Boar Boyz I did many years ago,but still enjoy looking at their crazy expressions.These are very old school models,but really pack a lot of character into the miniatures.I keep seeing these guys crazily flying across the battlefield screaming and hollering while all the while defying gravity by staying on! :sm_pirate_lol: I hope they give some of you something to laugh about! :sm_pirate_biggrin:

Excellent, Orc Boyz are definitely on my list of upcoming opponents for my Beastmen.
Love the warpaint, and that you\'ve added it to the boars as well. 8)

Oldschool  :thumbup:
I love it! Theses guys were one of the reasons I startet O&G long long ago. I really love their style and of course the painting.
Especially the warpaintings on the boars are really excellent!
Are the shield designs Freehands or Decals? They fit very well.

Edit (habe ich eben übersehen):
@ WCT:
Lass sowas in Zukunft bleiben, ernsthaft! ;)

Why thank you very much and here I was thinking I was on an English Forum and wondering why so many Germans joined this site. :rolleyes:

I would have you know I asked the forum in general a long,long time ago if they minded if I used English so as to spare them my rather pathetic German.99% graciously made me feel welcome and said it was no problem,however to the other 1%(you) I apologize for using English and I hope you have the heart to forgive me.Es tut mir leid,ich hoffe ich darf noch weider english schreibe konnte.As you can see,my grammer is less then desirable.
A special note,I stipulated all forum members are free to ask/answer/comment to me in German or English as I wish them to be as comfortable as I wish to be. ;)

@Antipater

Thank you! :D
And let me say it\'s a joy watching your wonderfully done army develop! :sm_pirate_thumbs1:

They were all done by free hand.I don\'t even know if they had decals similar to this when I did them. :) Yes I\'m old! :sm_pirate_lol: If your interested,my blog has a few more angles of the boar boyz if your looking for shield design ideas. ;)

Well, I suppose he was just citing our new foreign minister/secretary of state, who is not very adept at speaking english and said those words at a press conference when addressed by a british news reporter... It doesn\'t get any funnier than this, though.

Very nice miniatures!

Hey Christopher,

are there any miniature you do not collect? :D
Well,I\'ve been at this since 1991 and so I have amassed a few miniatures along the way. :sm_pirate_lol:
Zitat
How many painted figures do you have at home? :m_pirate_shock:
I have quite a few when you factor in how long I\'ve been at it,but in the same token you would think I would have even more fully painted. :sm_pirate_blush:
Zitat
are there more beautiful Warhammer Fantasy miniatures you want to show us? :sm_pirate_thumbs1:
Well I have quite a few I wish to post along down the road,but hopefully you will think they are beautiful.I appreciate the vote of confidence. :sm_pirate_biggrin: As a matter of fact I own Dark Elves,Vampire Counts,Chaos Mortals,Demons and Beastmen,Orcs and Goblins,and Wood Elves if your curious. sm_party_joint

@WCT

Your comment sounded very rude and I responded in kind.The forum largely supported me,(which I\'m very grateful :D )but if you were just joking around then a smile or something similar would clue us in. ;)
My goal and probably most the forum is not to come down on you,but rather let you know your choice of words were not the best.Perhaps if you were curious why I used English then something like\"may I ask why you use English as I\'m curious to know\" or something like that and that would have evoked a completely different reaction.If it was a joke like one member pointed out,then it would have helped to clue me in as I\'m not aware of what everything is said on television.
Anyways,I don\'t want you to feel unwelcome and I would ask you to next time please choose your words a little more carefully so I can give you a nicer response.
So let\'s shake hands and call it a simple misunderstanding.
Thank you for commenting on my thread as I really appreciate the input and I\'m looking forward to more interaction between us and all forum members. :D

@Olaf
PM on the way.

Cheers

Well i think the problem is just that in a different topic there was a conversation about the WWII Theme and it\'s forbidden symbols (i think most of you know what i\'m speaking about).
 I think that\'s why the most of us (me too) have reacted in this way.

But i think it\'s time to talk about the great painted figures from now on, because the mods and even Diomedes have react on it.
So let us forget it and   sm_party_trink
;)

@ Axebreaker:
May i ask why you don\'t have used the same cool basing style you used for the AWI Minis? The Mud would fit very well to the savage look of the orcs!

Thanks,I\'m happy you like the AWI bases. :) The reason The Savage Orcs don\'t have the same bases is I did them many years before I ever started AWI and the idea hadn\'t come to me yet. ;)
My bases have progressed over the years from
-small gravel
-Small gravel and grained grass on a black border(pretty horrible)
-Dark brown Earth with long hair grass
-Dark brown Earth & long hair grass with water effects added on some and not others
-Dark brown Earth & long hair grass with water effects added on some and not others plus bushel grass either by itself or in addition to
-I\'ve also changed my earth tones to match the climate with European staying pretty dark with the tone getting lighter the more dry the climate

Yes indeed Olaf,you did see them,but it was last years TTU.They did win in a way ,however I had another entry that won it\'s category if you remember. ;)
