I picked up a copy of \"This Very Ground\" after reading a few threads on this forum. It came as no surprise to find I like the rules as I like Iron Ivans rule sets for other periods. In addition I like the colonial atmosphere in North America in general. :sm_pirate_thumbs1:
I decided to collect an Iroquois Indian warband/warparty that I\'ll post later in the projects section when I start.I think the color exploration should be some fun and gives me the excuse to collect those very nice Perry and Conquest Indian miniature range. The game does not require a lot of miniatures to start with and therefore puts it into the can do catagory.
The scenario\'s in the book also offer for several modeling possibilities.
For those interested here are a couple great blogs on the French and Indian War :sm_pirate_smile: :sm_pirate_smile: :

We used to play our FIW Games by that Rules for some time. I´still not sure why, but the rules never realy made it through in our group. Finaly some of our members wrote own rules and that are popular in our group.

TVG is a game for up to 30 Figs each side. For larger battles - like the Ticonderoga scenario of Tactica 2009 - Willi created his own rule set. I like the TVG rules, too. And hope, we can make one or two games this year. So, Axebreaker, have a look at the Spielen im Westen Forum for a TVG date.

I played it once at Tactica \'07 and fell instantly in love with it. Unfortunately I never managed it to push that project further than buying the rules and some minis ;(

I knew you\'d say that :roflmao:

Played TVG several times and enjoyed it quite a bit. It\'s less based on heroic individuals than most skirmish games and as such provides a nice historical feeling. I have some troops available (Tellus might remember them). Too bad they are remote from any opponent over here. :(

My bad, please excuse my poor English: I meant that I\'m lacking a regular gaming partner for the F&IW.

They look very nice indeed! :sm_pirate_thumbs1: What\'s great is they are French and I plan on collecting a Mohawk Indian warband that\'s part of the Iroquois Confederation.....who fought for the English! :diablo: Hopefully sometime in the future I\'ll be able to help remedy your lack of opponents to play. :sm_pirate_biggrin:
BTW a few missed words doesn\'t mean your English is poor as I happen to think it\'s rather very good. :sm_pirate_smile:

Die Regeln sind klasse. Ich kann sie nur empfehlen. Ich nutzte die als Grundlagen für meine Samurai Regeln.
Hier noch ein Spielbericht vor zwei Jahren :sm_pirate_blush:
