The 19th Indiana were part of what the confederates called \"That d*mned
Black Hat brigade!\" before everyone began calling them the \"Iron
Brigade\" because of their Iron resolve not to back down from the enemy
even when under intense fire or pressure.
The Iron Brigade is probably the most famous brigade in the Union army and therefore so are it\'s regiments and rightly so as they suffered the most casualties of any brigade in the Union army.
Basically this is the Unions Crème del la crème.
If you want more info on the Iron Brigade then simply type in Iron Brigade on the internet and you will be flooded!

geniale minis, für die iron brigade habe ich auch schon pläne bzw figuren gesucht, aber diese sehen wirlich klasse aus!

ist aber brigade nicht der falsche ausdruck dafür?! die rion brigade bestand ja aus 5 regimentern! (battallione) und die einheit die du bemalt hast ist doch nur ein regiment?! oder spielt du das dann als brigade?!

Please read the first sentence where I said \"The 19th Indiana were part of .....\" and also I said later \" therefore so are it\'s regiments\". ;)

I\'m doing my units by regiment and not brigade, but I try mention what brigade each regiment comes from.

However for clarity sake the Iron Brigade consisted of [font=\'arial,helvetica]

2nd Wisconsin, 6th Wisconsin, 7th Wisconsin, 19th Indiana, 24th Michigan
