I have paid particular attention to the Persian range to make them as accurate as possible based on the limited reliable description and portrayal of the Persian army during this point in history. The Persian range will go on to portray all of the subject peoples of the Persian empire at its greatest extent, paying particular attention to the Saka tribes of the steppes, The Thracians and the more exotic nationalities found on the empires limits.To start with the Assyrians will be represented by the archetypal shield bearers and arches of the royal guard along with the foreign axillaries that they came to rely on so heavily towards the decline of the empire. Obviously I could not extend this range without including the Assyrians most feared weapon - the chariot! The Babylonian range will include the many opposing nations that Assyria was at war with inside and outside its own borders. Chaldeans, Babylonians and Elamites will be initially represented.
