--- Zitat von: \"wizard\" ---Halo.

We have a couple of WAB players in Slovenija and we would like to organise a small WAB event in Slovenija, that would take place between 25 April and 10 May 2009.
The plan is to organise something similar to event in June in Munich (Campus Martimus), but just WAB, no WFB. We were thinking to organise a small event with around 16-20? people, with following army books (Hannibal, Aleksander, AoA, Shieldwall, Fall of the West, BtGG) allowed, 2000 points, ABC sistem, a rules pack and a couple of house rules will be known in advance, 2 days event, first day themed battles (we would devide people in 2 sides, that fight scenario battles, where the opponents would be historicly correct, for example Romans against Carthaginians), on the second day one big battle, where the winning team from the first game has a slight advantage/benefit. There are already some Germans, who are interested to come, the plan for the whole event is to organise something, where people from different countries can meet and enjoy a relaxed weekend of WAB. First we need to know, how many players are interested and than we can post more details. For now we have a plan to rent a place in Ljubljana (capital), in which case I can help you to find nice hostel or a hotel for a good price. The other alternative right now is to rent a hunting lodge on the outskirts of Ljubljana, with sleeping quarters in the lodge and restaurant with domestic food nearby. In both cases there will be a small participation fee (around 10-15 Evro), so we can rent the place, but otherwise we try to keep the costs as low as possible. If you need a pickup from the airport, we can come get you and take you to the event(free of charge). Most of the low budget airlines travel to Ljubljana, so airplane tickets should not be a problem. If anyone would like to come with a car, I can provide you with a map or instructions.

EDIT: UPDATED INFO

The date for the tournament is 18-19 April 2009.

The place is Dom RAK
Rakov Škocjan 2
p.p. 63, 1380 Cerknica.

This is the center, which is used for school camps/outdoor classes and student activities. When the house is not used by schools, it is possible to rent it. The house is still owned by the state (sort of), so there might be some restrictions regarding alcohol consumption. The only request is, that the groop is at least 20 people strong (that should not be a problem, I believe  ), because we get a cook also. The house is located near natural perserved area, Rakov Škocjan, which is a series of natural bridges, rivers, ponds, karstic structures and so on. In the vacinity there is also Cerkniško jezero, a unique lake of its kind, because it is only present in certain periods of the year. The picture of the house http://www.triton-turizem.si/images/domovi/dom_rak.jpg .The house is located inside the woods, but is still only 30 minutes away from Ljubljana.

The price for one night accomodation and 3 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is around 20 Evro. I would sugest that we rent the house from 17th (Friday) till 19 th, because most of you will probably come on Friday. I will make the reservation as soon as there are at least 20 players interested. When I will make the reservation of the house, I will also post the number of bank account, where you can send the participation fee (10 Evro), so that I know you are serious to come. Thanks for understanding.

Ghibelline, the number of attendends should be at least 20, because otherwise we cant rent the house.  As for campaign, we didnt planed anything of that sort. First day we could play pitched battles, find an opponent you like and play a friendly game. On a second day we could try a couple of bigger battles (lets say 2 or 4 participants per side) or one big battle. For first time we wanted a relax weekend and dont want to use too many rules or regulations. But if you have any idea, please write it.

Could everybody interested write his expected date of arrival, means of transport and army. For those of you, that will arrive with car, we can meet somewhere in Ljubljana or on the way and escort you to the house. For those of you, that will arrive with the plane to airport Jože Pučnik (former Brnik), we can pick you up.

Thanks for anwser.
Danilo

P.S. I will try to anwser your questions as soon as possible.

Leondegrande:

Gruss
Olaf

Update von Danilo:

--- Zitat ---If the tournament will be Ljubljana, I will assist you with finding good hostel or hotel. If outside Ljubljana, any other kind of accomodation (bed and breakfast, pension,hotel...) will be available. We are also asking around for the possibility to hire a hunting or fishing lodge somewhere near Ljubljana. That way we could combine a place and accomodation, because hunting lodges in Slovenija usually have enough space to accomodate around 30 people with beds. And we could also get a local food very cheap.
--- Ende Zitat ---
