Die Griechen sind hier erste Sahne, vorallem die Schilder - was aber auch grötenteils am Bemaler selbst liegt.

Ganz im Gegenteil zu den Eureka Sachen, die gefallen mir nicht wirklich, so wie ihre anderen Figuren, ich weiĂź nicht warum, aber irgendwie, sie sind mir zu \"globig\".

zu 1: Die Schilder sind Decals von LBM.
zu 2: mag sein, mag aber auch die Kameraperspektive sein.

Schade ist leider nur, dass man vieles so gar nicht in Deutschland kaufen bzw. bestellen kann. Und mit dem Bestellen auf der Insel ist so ne Sache.

Mal was anderes, hat jemand ne Info wann bei Victrix die Kavallerie oder Highländer raus kommen. Angekündigt ist da ja schon was, auf der Homepage von denen halt.

Now that the official announcementhas been made I feel comfortable releasing a few pictures of this miniature.

I was pleased to be asked to produce a miniature to support Holybush House, The ex-serives mental welfare society. Seeing as it fitted in with what I\'m doing at the moment I was asked to produce a miniature for the world war one era. Of course back then there was no such term as combat stress, the common term being shell shock. Diagnosis was by no means frequent and the condition was somewhat brushed under the table, many sufferers being sent back to the front with little or no support. It is well known these days that many sufferers were unable to cope with the relentless pressures of the conflict and the reaction of their peers and superiors would be seen today as ruthless and unconcionable. Today the recognition and support available for those suffering is far greater than that available to the fighting man of 90 years ago but there is always more we can do.

The miniature.
As well as a fundraising piece to aid the assistance of current sufferers I chose to make the WW1 model a memorial to those who\'s condition was unregognised and whose actions called into question. I hope I\'ve managed to pull it off.

Marcus Aurelius ruled the Roman Empire from AD 161 to AD 180 whereupon he was succeeded by his son Commodus. His rule was beset by near constant conflict against the Barbarian hordes and at his passing he had nearly reconsolidated the frontiers of the Empire against her enemies.

As proud as we are of our Early Imperial Roman and Ancient Celt ranges (you always dearly love your first child), there is a special place in our hearts for the troops and battles of the English Civil Wars and the Thirty Years War. The glory, the pageantry, and the downright great-looking uniforms and weapons of these conflicts make for incredible tabletop miniature tableaus on the gaming table. Also die Pike&Shot sind ja mal auch geil. Ich glaub ich werd nur noch 28mm holen und die nächsten Bestellung in 15mm sein lassen.
Wenn jemand demnächst bei Perry bestellt, dann meldet euch kurz vorher, dann nehm ich auch was. Gerade wegen der Rifles Minis.

Die Riflemen von Offensive sehen zwar wirklich gut aus aber die wievielte Reihe in 28mm ist das eigentlich? :rolleyes:

Die Foundry Gallier können in Sachen Modellierung gerade mal so bei den letzten Plastikveröffentlichungen der Konkurrenz mithalten, in Sachen Variabilität und vorallem Preis bleiben sie aber weeeeeiiiit dahinter zurück! :wacko:
