Just finished up my Bunker Hill redoubt for TACTICA in February where Robert,Sven and myself will be putting on a demo of The Battle of Bunker Hill.The redoubt was quite simple and I reflected this in the construction.I\'m not even sure they reinforced the dirt walls with planking,but I took some liberties and decided to go ahead and add it.I placed some of my mini\'s inside to give a sense of proportion and I think it will work fine. Also in the photo is one of the three fletches I made as well.The background is for color only as I\'m trying to show the redoubt.:)

Cheers

Great work Christopher! Very inspiring. After seeing all this fantastic AWI miniatures and scenery on your blog, and on Antipaters Blog, I go now for my own US Army. :)

I cannot resist anymore.

One Question please: How do your troops get the cannon inside (and outside the redoubt)? :huh:
Beautiful work anyway!

@Everyone
Thank you very much for the support. :D

@Hindu
That\'s a fair question. :) Thick Planks could be laid to either side of the redoubt to form a ramp whereby the cannon was hauled over,that could later be retracted when the enemy approached.Another simpler way, was simply to move the artillery piece in before the redoubt was completely sealed and finished. ;)

Here are some causality figures and markers that I\'m using for British Grenadier.
First up is the causality figures that rotate as causalities are taken
and removed after a complete rotation.In British Grenadier most units
are 4 models to a base(some have 6)and so I decided on a triangle
numbered 1 to 3 as the most practical.
The stones are used to mark a
units disruption level that goes from 1 to 3 and is a special feature
of British Grenadier that isn\'t used in the other GdB rules and really
helps add the feel to the period. :toocool: I\'ve started off with 6 pieces per
level.
When I start the British I\'ll do the same thing.

Incidentally just admired them on your blog. Simply put, casualty markers are a must-have for every self-respecting wargamer with some sense for aesthetics (if that\'s the right term in conjunction with dead people). Anyway, cool. :thumbup:

Sure,the term is fine and well understood within the context it was given. :) I agree.that markers add that little extra to a battlefield to help give more atmosphere. :thumbup:
