Hello All,
Apologies for the English post (Mein Deutsch is zu schleckte Ich schriebe nicht!)
I recently moved to Gauting from England and am a long-time wargamer. I was introduced to Jürgen via email, and he\'s kindly invited me along to join your club. It looks like I\'ll be free to come along for this meeting, and so thought I\'d say hi on here beforehand.
I play any game, and am happy to try anything i haven\'t tried before. I have various rulesets, armies and terrain here in Germany that I\'m happy to bring to the club. Unfortunately, i have never played DBA or FOG (!), so can\'t easily join in those games - but would be very eager to learn these rules. I noticed both Bloodbowl and Babylon 5 ACTA got a mention as possible games being played at this meeting. I used to play both of those games a lot back in the UK, but further bad luck means that my miniatures for both those games were left behind in the UK! (I have Dwarfs and Drazi for when i can bring them over...)
With me in Gauting i have:
15mm American Civil War Rebels (probably little interest for that? I have some great rules for it however if anyone\'s interested - I\'m going to buy and paint a Yankee army soon)
Two large 10mm Warmaster armies (Empire & Undead - however, i prefer the Warmaster Ancients rules, and wil start collecting Ancients at some point)
6mm WWII German (i tend to use Blitzkrieg Commander or Crossfire for WWII games, but want to try out Peter Pig\'s PBI next)
6mm WoSS British and French (WoSS = War of Spanish Succession, i.e. 17th Century)
28mm Menoth army for Warmachine (expect this is more popular, but despite the beatuiful miniatures not my favourite style of game)
Recently bought small French and English fleets for 1:1200 Napolenic naval games, and will be starting to buy Napoleonic armies at either 6mm or 10mm scale soon...
Anyway - enough chatting. I hope you all can understand me - and i apologise once more for not being able to speak German well yet. I look forward to meeting you all on Tuesday.
Cheers!
Dan
