First up there are some new group shots for the upcoming French Nappy Heavy Cav.: And also some new text to go with them: Quote: This box will be available in late September or maybe before. The box will contain 14 cavalrymen, 1 officer, 1 trumpeter, 1 standard bearer. Although you can substitute the trumpeter and standard bearer for troopers giving you 13 rank and file if you like. All the figures come with both Cuirassier and Carabinier heads to allow you to build up units of either of these famous Heavy cavalry types. We are also providing enough arms to allow the whole unit to be ‘at the charge’ or a more relaxed shoulder swords. The Carabiniers are using the square service portemanteau carried on campaign. With a little trimming of the lace on the arms of the trumpeter the Carabiniers can be used from 1810.And then there is 3-Ups for FrenchNappy Hussars: Quote: Plastic Napoleonic French Hussars ‘3ups’ This is just a peek at what will be coming up after the Michael’s Wars of the Roses plastic box set, so these are some way off at the moment as are the WotRs. The idea behind the Hussar box is that you’ll be able to build any French ( and a fair few foreign) Hussar regiments from the 1790’s to 1815 in either campaign or full dress. The uniform only altered slightly during the period, the dolman and pelisse both becoming slightly shorter as the period progressed, which is not that noticeable on a 28mm figure. Included in the box will be enough heads to kit the whole unit out in either mirlitons, colpacks, 3 different types of bell top shakos (one of which is covered) or cylindrical shakos. The torsos are separate from the legs to allow you to choose between the full dress breaches or campaign overalls. The pelisses are also separate.http://www.perry-miniatures.com/index2.html
We are pleased to announce that by the time you read this (around Thursday 24th), we will have received the 28mm Plastic Napoleonic French Heavy Cavalry 1812-1815, Cuirassiers and Carabiniers. We have already mentioned what you get in the box... but it\'s worth repeating. The box contains 14 cavalrymen, including one officer, one trumpeter, one standard bearer. Although you can substitute the trumpeter and standard bearer for troopers, giving you 13 rank-and-file if you like. All the figures come with both cuirassier and carabinier heads, to allow you to build up units of either of these famous heavy cavalry types. We are also providing enough arms to allow the whole unit to be \'at the charge\' or a more relaxed shoulder swords. As there was spare room on the horse frame (if we\'d put another horse on it, it wouldn\'t be the right ratio for the riders frame), we decided to add dead British and French infantry and some battlefield debris. So you\'ll have three of each casualty in the box. The carabiniers are using the square service portemanteau. We are also throwing in a sprue of cavalry unit bases.FN 120 - Price £15.00 GBP We have shown a metal and plastic comparison, just in case you\'re wondering about the size. Also, here\'s a couple of uniforms you might not associate with the normal colours of Cuirassiers and Carabiniers. The 13th Cuirassiers served in Spain (wearing brown cloth as their uniforms wore out), and the Carabiniers tended to wear their sky-blue undress coats towards the end of the Empire. Now divisions of French Heavy Cavalry in 28mm are a real possibility!
@payne:Nee, geht gar nicht. Und das nicht nur, weil die Briten zu dieser Zeit gar keine Kürasse mehr trugen. Perry verkauft die Briten doch als Zinnfiguren. Reichen die nicht?
