The Wars of the Roses 28mm hard-plastic infantry box is now ready for pre-order. It is on schedule for release in early December. We have received the \'first shots\' of the main sprue from Renedra (the tooling company), with the command to follow.


The box contains 40 infantrymen, including four fully armoured command, and parts to allow you to build up to 30 archers and up to 18 billmen. Archers can be constructed shooting/nocking or advancing, whereas billmen can be either standing ready or advancing/attacking. There are also a random selection of flags in each box, eight for either the battle of Wakefield, Towton or Bosworth. Unit bases are included, as well as a guide to liveries plus 26 shown in colour.

Frage an die Fachleute: Für welche anderen Konflikte lassen sich die Figuren noch nutzen? Ich sehe die Genauigkeit auch nicht so eng. Könnte man mit den Figuren z.b auch osteuropäische Nationen wie Ungarn oder ähnliches darstellen?

Wenn das oberste Prämisse ist, kann man mit den Figuren jede europäische Macht der Zeit 1450-1490 darstellen. So groß sind die Unterschiede dann doch nicht. Der penible Betrachter wird sich an dem ein oder anderen Helm, dem ein oder anderen Wams und vor allem der Bewaffnung stoßen. Je nachdem, wie die Perrys die Reihe ergänzen, sehe ich aber auch schon die angekündigte Schweizer bzw. Burgunder Armee auf mich zukommen.  :bodycheck:
