Command and colors Ancients von GMT games

Alex:

Hi, I\'m the big Command and Colors fan with the miniatures. I don\'t speak any German, but I can follow some of the comments.

We use C&C (with a few minor amendments) for most of our tabletop gaming. We find that a 25% larger board gives a very entertaining historical game.

I quite liked Battlelore, but I feel that the Command and Colors rules give a better game, so I sold my copy. We use C&C, instead, for fantasy games:-

The system is so simple that it can be taught to novices and played at conventions as a multiplayer game. However there is enough complexity to give veteran players the advantage (Unless the cards and dice are against them!), and to retain their interest.

We use Memoir 44 for our WW2 tabletop gaming. I suppose, next year, I will need to paint two big Napoleonic armies. :-(

Cheers, Simon

Haha, great!

Alex:
It is just the best way for wargamer to get new players, because the Cards and the Board shows every Gamer the aim of his Tactics.

I think, it is sometimes difficult to explain your budies why they have to attack a small Hill or any kind of key point.

It`s just like a real Battle, very fast, every General knows what to do, in the moment of impact also very chaotic, and everybody can understand the Rules.

Napoleonic will be great.
