Hoera, Dutch gamingclub Militia Brabantia will organise it\'s first international WABtournament. This event will be held on the 6th and 7th of march 2010 in Uden (nearEindhoven). We will probaly do a Classical and Dark Age campaign, but we are open forsuggestions.At the moment we are compiling a list of hotels in the area, but with enough reservations wemight even rent a nearby monastery. Dinner will ofcource be arranged, as is transportation(if needed) from the city of Eindhoven to the gaming location.A more detailed application form will be send later with extra information concerning thetournament. But as we need to get things organized we would realy like to know if your areinterested to come. ANNOUNCEMENT: Glory or Dishonour 2010 Wargames Club, Militia Brabantia, invides you for our second Open Warhammer Ancient Battles tournament!We are inviting YOU!We expect quite a lot wargames clubs from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. So the correspondence will be in English. -WHERE: Uden in Noord-Brabant in the Netherlands.-WHEN: It will be held on Saturday the 6th or March and Sunday the 7th of March.-WHAT: We will play three battles on Saturday and two on Sunday, the last one being a double. The armies will be 1500 points in two separate tournaments; the Classical Period and the Dark Ages.-COSTS: The entry is 25 euro. Included into the entry fee will be a lunch on both days, and some drinks. We will present you with some typical Dutch snacks during the day. We are surely looking forward to this tournament and hope you will join us. And we will try to do everything to give you a nice weekend. We will keep the following in mind: We play for fun. Dear Wargamers,Wargames Club, Militia Brabantia, invites you all to participate in our second,Open Warhammer Ancient Battles tournament. On Saturday the 6th of march and Sunday the 7th of march, 2010 the doors will open from 10:30 hr. till 18:00 hr at community centre “Welkom In” in Uden, the Netherlands. On Saturday we end the day around 17:00 hr. For those interested we will arrange for dinner at one of the local restaurants in Uden. On Sunday we will start at 10:30 hr. and end at about 14:00 hr. After which we will hold our ceremony to celebrate the winners of our various prices and say our goodbyes.We ask an entrée fee of 25,- Euros for each participant. For this you’ll get a two day, five scenario tournament, with lunch and some drinks included on both days, snacks in between battles and of course some great prizes! ( please note that diner on Saturday is not included!) For each tournament we have four prizes. First place, Best painted army, Last place and the most important one the most Sympathetic player!We want to have a fun weekend with no over exaggerated rules lawering or cheating, but laughter and being laughed at when the dices come up with double 1’s.During the weekend we will have two tournaments simultaneously. So its not possible to enter both. Its wise to decide quickly whether or not to participate. We expect a lot of foreign players, England, Belgium, Germany, France and Holland of course, and we “only” have room for 50 particpants.As mentioned before we will be having two tournaments.The first tournament is for the Dark Age period with 1500 points armies , running from 500 A.D. through to 1050 A.D. The books from which armies can be created are:-Shieldwall ( only one unit with frenzy if applicable)-El Cid (no crossbows or lance allowed if applicable)-Age of ArthurThe second tournament will be for the Ancient period with 1500 points armies, running from 490 B.C. through to 400 A.D. The books form which armies can be drawn are:-Armies of Antiquity-Alexander the Great-Spartacus-Fall of the West-Hannibal and the Punic Wars-Romans and Barbarians from the rulebookFor the Ancients tournament we have a few armies which you could borrow but be quick to ask!The tournaments will be 5 scenario’s. Details will follow shortly. But don not expect “simple” pitched battles! The last scenario will be a double battle.Closing date for entrée is the 15th of February 2010.
