Alan and Michael Perry need no introduction and these excellent new plastic War of the Roses Infantry (1455-1487) also speak for themselves. Typical Perry qualities of spectacular sculpting and dynamic action are there as well as the incredible variety offered by all-plastic construction. The boxed set contains enough components to build forty complete (40) plastic 28mm infantry figures (there are 14 different body designs), including four (4) fully armoured command. The distribution of parts allows for up to eighteen (18) billmen or thirty (30) archers. There are also additional arms for the command to allow you to build two (2) standard bearers, and also pairs of arms with trumpets. A total 56 heads are included. There are also eight ( full-colour flags from either the Battle of Wakefield, Towton or Bosworth, supplied at random as well as unit bases for your models. We took the following snaps at our recent Black Powder Open Day where these painted 3-ups sat proudly behind the big Napoleonic game run by Alan and Michael. A close eye was kept on Paul who was admiringly them rather too much… As you can see. the more miniatures the Perry Brothers create, the better they get! The \'greens\' are one of the two field artillery pieces for the 28mm Wars of the Roses metal range. These, plus mounted command, will be the next in the range, followed by foot command. The second gun and crew will be up on our Workbench page soon.
