Plastic vs Metal
lameth:
Well, yes I understand german, much better then english, but the thread starter used english and I think its simply polite to anwser in english (even if it is as bad as my english :D )
I´m pretty sure, that plastic is a better conversion material then metal, simply because you don´t need complex tools, a sharp knife is enough ;)
Axebreaker:
From my experience conversions work better in metal then plastic ,trim to close then you f :censored:ck up the piece!But,your right about cost and transportation. :thumbup: It won\'t change me to plastic, but I hope we get more players from it! :D
@lameth
Your english is fine,and thank you for using it as it is easier for me and I prefer when it is used :D .But, please for anyone else who isn\'t comfortable doing so , feel free to use germen.Chances are your english is better then my germen anyways,but I\'ll manage. :)

--- Zitat von: \'Axebreaker\',index.php?page=Thread&postID=3722#post3722 ---... ,but they still get damaged from time to time.I own the GW Foam suitcases for traveling to England,but that hasn\'t prevented some damn spears and shields from coming off! ...

Slightly off topic, but I pack my models tightly, with no chance to move whatsoever, as I mistrust even the mere milimeters they can move within cutout foam inserts. I press 28mm models between layers of egg-foam and nest my 15mm model stands in cotton wool.
And more on topic, I\'m sure that everyone can find their own type of miniature model, 28mm plastics for the converters and painters, metals for the traditionalists, 15mm for those who don\'t care... ;) The more diversity the better for the hobby, I think. Interestingly, I discovered I wouldn\'t mind 15mm plastics, as opposed to 28mm plastics. Just no 1/72, as I\'m no friend of realistic proportions.
Axebreaker:
Thank you for the tip. :thumbsup: I normally carry them on a metal board and with magnets it\'s not to much of a problem,but next time need to pack for a flight I\'ll do as you recommend. :beer:
cheers!

Well, another benefit of the multi part plastic miniatures is that you can customize them as you want and you are not limited to the 3-4 poses, as it is often the case at the metal miniatures. Another benefit is, you have not to by extra spears and as sculpted together the arm with the spear looks much more realistic. Last but not least: (in the case of Warlord Games and WF too, as it seems) there are decals implemented in the boxes ;)
