Written by Barry Hill, Gladiator enables players to recreate the brutal arena combat of the Roman Empire on the wargames table.

This full colour 144 page hardback rulebook contains rules for gladiatorial arena contests featuring human combatants, wild animals, elephants and chariots as well as mass battle spectacles and mock sea battles. Full rules and background are provided for gladiators of both the Imperial and Republican eras, along with ten action-packed scenarios and a detailed campaign system that allows rival gladiatorial schools to compete in several different periods of Roman history.

Nicht dass es noch nicht genügend Napoleonische Regelwerke gäbe...
Und wieder diese britische Fixierung auf Waterloo, ich werde es wohl nie verstehen.

Das Gladiator Regebuch scheint jedenfalls mal etwas ausgefalleneres zu seien, werde ich mir bei Gelegenheit mal anschauen

Letztendlich warte ich immer noch auf Over the Top, dass ja ende des Monats erscheinen soll

Gladi is schon bestellt, den rest spiele ich mit anderen regeln-da pass ich mich mal meinen Mitspielern an, die die anderen Sachen schon haben! Is günstiger, als doppeltgemoppelt und für umsienur sozuhaben sind mir die Sachen doch zu teuer.
Aber Hut ab, dass was kommt! mfg Stephan

Aber ob das Herr der Ringe-System als Basis für die Gladiatoren taugt...?
Da bin ich doch am Zweifeln. HdR ist doch eher für Skirmish mit 20+ Modellen gut. Selbst die Legends-Serie kam da zuweilen an ihre Grenzen. Bin aber gespannt wie sie die idividuellere Kampfweise versucht haben darzustllen. Auf dem Quick-sheet kann man schon was von Trefferzonen etc. lesen... :)

Also von den vorhandenen GW Regelwerken ist der Herr der Ringe Baukasten da noch am besten geeignet, finde ich. :)

Ich finde beide Bücher vor allem optisch schön, aber das war zu erwarten. Nett ist, dass sie wohl vollfarbig und gebunden sind, das gefällt. Holen werde ich wohl nach und nach alle, aber erstmal das Normandy Buch. 8)
