Soll wohl vor Release eine Lite-Version geben:

--- Zitat ---The Maurice rules are effectively finished.  A few advanced and optional rules could do with a bit more playtesting, but we’re far enough along now that I’ve begun to take some bids from printers. (And thus the very long, tedious process begins, of doing the layout, photography, art, and so on.) Nonetheless, I think we’re well on schedule for the release in the middle of 2012.

Coming much sooner than that, mostly likely in December, will be the free “Maurice Lite” introductory game that I will post on the Downloads page of this site.  This is a short simplified version of the game, stripped to its basics, to @20 pages. But it will be enough for people to learn all the basic game mechanisms and to get their first taste of what is to come. It will come with a free set of DIY action cards, available in PDF format.  So: look for that, before Christmas.

In the meantime I’m still trying to decide on the best format(s) in which to publish Maurice. I’m committed to offering a simultaneous e-book and printed release, so I have to make some tough decisions about what sort of book, exactly, that will be  (softback full color, softback B&W, hardback full color, etc.)  The simpler the format, obviously, the less expensive the book will be for you, and the sooner it will appear.   I’m also weighing the question of stocking and shipping the packs of cards, vis-a-vis the book format, and trying to come up with the simplest and most cost-effective model.  More news on that in the new year.
