Hat jemand die Seitenzahl fürs Grüne Buch (Paperback)?
Ich finde da im ersten Kapitel nix, so richtig. Außer ne Stelle, wo Gandalf von den Reitern und dem Herrn der Ringe spricht. Sauron kommt aber nicht vor... ;(

In einer deutschen Übersetzung des Beowulf Epos wird der Begriff Herr der Ringe als Übersetzung des englischen ring - giver/ Angelsächsisch beaga brytta  verwendet, was wiederum ein Kenning ist und soviel wie König, Herrscher bedeutet und den Sinn hat, dass jemand durch die Gabe von Ringen als Geschenken seine Gefolgsleute an sich bindet. Und wer hatte einen Lehrstuhl für Angelsächsisch und schrieb den Aufsatz \"Beowulf, The Monsters and the Critics\" und arbeitete an einer Beowulf-Übersetzung: Genau, Tolkien. Und wer verteilt die Ringe, mit denen er die anderen an sich bindet - Sauron.
