There\'s been some comments on here both positive and negative regarding the new rules set, so I\'d thought I\'d post what I know. This has been done with the consent of my sources.

So what do I know about the new juicy rules which will be in WAB 2? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Due to my role as a Journalist, I am not part of the playtesting for the new rules. This will mean that when I do see them, I will have an impartial perspective when reviewing them. I can make educated guesses, which is what all my posts on here have been, but I know nothing substantial. Rob is running a tight ship.

So what do I know? What value is that to you? Perhaps a few useful bits...

I post the following with the hope that this information will reassure you. It did me. I\'ll mention no names, it\'d be unfair for those individuals involved. The people involved are people I call friends, two I consider close friends, so I trust their judgement implicitly and to say what I\'d say if I were playtesting it.

I do know how the people I\'ve spoken to talk about the new game and it has all been with the same high enthusiasm. I keep hearing the same thing over and over again, that I\'ll love it just as much as they do. Here\'s what I can say:

(1) People love it, it is by far an improvement on the original.
(2) The playtest group is far larger than I imagined, again a very good thing.
(3) They (the playtesters) are being listened to and the manuscript changed in response to their questions.

The rules aren\'t going to be rushed out to a deadline (one of my greatest fears allayed), instead the playtesters will have to be happy with it before it goes to publication. This may cause dissent in some ranks on here, but I\'d rather they get it 100% right before we see it.

So watch those newsletters from Warhammer Historical, there\'s more in there than you realise.
