Allgemeine Frage zu Shieldwall Armeen, bzw infantrie armeen, sind sie spielbar?

To make it clear in DBM that is an option,but in WAB the Vikings have no access to cavalry at all.As far as WAB it\'s wishful thinking only. ;)

Lange Haare und Bart, mit Boot rumfahren und Knäckebrot essen

* Normannen = Kavallerie Armee
Kurze Haare, mit Pferd rumreiten, Käse essen und französisch reden und Opa verarschen weil er immernoch Dänisch redet

I could very well have misunderstood your statement(My german is less then perfect),I was only trying to be clear on the subject so as not to confuse anyone. ;)

In that sense,of course your not mistaken.Indeed cavalry does form the backbone of any Norman army more or less.That goes for DBM and WAB.

They are decended from Viking,but have developed a completely different fighting style,so I would not describe them as late Vikings.But,to be honest I always look at Normans as mounted Vikings for a sentimental value.

Again,I\'m sure I misunderstood your statement and I just wanted to make sure the author of this thread understood that the Vikings are an all infantry army and that cannot change.If he wishes to play some cavalry then he should choose Normans or some other mounted army. :) Throw in Ghib\'s amusing description as well. :P

so, the decision was made some days ago,
i bought  the vikings from somebody out of the wab forum

but even if they have no access to cavalry according to wab rules, my gaming partner, isn´t one of those who play strictly to the rules,
because theres no one to play here, appart from us,
we change things,
especially such stuff as army lists,
as long it makes sense historically

but of course, i will play them as infantry army for a start
