@holger

Thats very true in that the ECW and TYW are interchangeable .;) Like you said,if you can overlook the banner problem then why not.I mean it\'s not like they had the union jack at that time,so unless you have studied up on banners I don\'t think it matters all that much.I think here in Germany a player should try to be alittle bit flexible in both WAB and of course ECW/TYW as our pool of players is alot smaller then say England and the USA.As long as the miniatures being used look close to what time your fighting in then players should not be too strict in the historical accuracy. :thumbup:

As far as the distence goes,yes that is a long drive,but perhaps in the future a demo game can be arranged at a convention.I was thinking somewhere along the lines of Tactica 2009 or 2010 or something similar to it. :)

Also,Robb and the gang at Historical said they will be making a supplement for TYW in the future and that will hopefully open up a larger pool of players for TYW and ECW as well. 8)

@hallostephen

\"God save the king!\" 8o Well I\'m hoping to change the lack of players.

Like I said in the last post,when Robb and company make the TYW supplement that could open up some players for ECW as well. :D

Also a demo game at some conventions might help. :whistling:

Try posting some pictures of your army,I\'m interested in seeing it,plus it could draw some interest. :thumbsup:

Meeting somewhere for a game would be nice. You are also invited to come along for a game if you will be in my region once.

To take a look at my Parliament \"army\":

and for some Covenanters I painted (but which I don\'t own):

@Vodnick

Very good 8) .The nice thing about 15mm is you can achieve a \"large\"battle effect.

@holger

Very nice work 8o !I also like to paint miniatures to a high standard. At least I hope they are :) .Your painting makes me want to begin painting myself :D !And,your photography is excellent! :thumbup: As of yet I have not tried photographing my mini\'s and I\'m a bit nervous I\'ll mess it up. :fie:

I see that you play early Parliament forces before the advent of The New Model Army.

As far as a game this year I have no time to paint up a ECW army(to much on my plate) ;( ,but after seeing your mini\'s I\'m inspired to try and have one painted up for next year!Perhaps a demo game at Tactica 2009. :rolleyes: :D

@hallostephen

It\'s only important that you have them painted as everyone paints at different speeds and standards. :) I won\'t be able to play until at least next year ;( ,but it appears \" holger\" has an outstandingly painted Parliment force ready for war :thumbup: .I suggest you contact him for a game if your looking to play earlier then next year. :rolleyes:

Good luck

My army is far from complete, just ready to playtest rules and small games. I still need more cavalery and musketeers and I don\'t have any artillery yet. And my painting style prevents me from finishing any army soon.

@holger

I know exactly how you feel! ;( It takes me along time to paint as my style prevents me from finishing anything very fast.On average it takes me about 2 months per regiment of 20 :dash: ,and now with a new baby even longer. I\'m typical of alot of wargamers in that I have way more models then I can ever hope to paint! :lol: :monster:

@holger

I have a question for you. :rolleyes: When photographing your mini\'s what do you use for your background?Did you make it yourself or did you purchase a background kit?I\'m talking about the light blue background.I would like to begin photographing my mini\'s and I could use some advice. :S Thank you. :)

Best regards

@ axebreaker

Sorry for the delay. I bought a background especially for photography. You can buy it in good photography stores or perhaps order it somewhere on the internet. It reflects the light especially for taking pictures so this is better then most self made backgrounds.

@holger,

As a matter of fact that\'s what I just did a week ago and I also ordered a \"Photo Box\".But,thank you for replying.I just need to buy some lamps and then I\'m all set and ready to go! :DStill,thank you for replying. :) I liked your background for your web site also.The total black background with just the photo\'s in it is nice,because the viewer isn\'t distracted by the background and instead places all of his focus on the miniature.I\'m going to do that as well when I get around to setting up my own web site. :)

Cheers
