emigholz:

--- Zitat ---For those that follow our normal posting
ethos we will hopefully be showing images of our unarmoured Samnites in
the next 24 hours. Images of the armoured variants will follow in due
course.
Once the Samnites are complete we will move on to the Macedoinian pike men..
Both sets of armoured and unarmoured Iberian warriors plus Balearic
slingers will be with the tool room queue from early November but as of
now we don\'t have a firm release date.

Hier das angekündigte preview mit den Samniten.
--- Zitat ---Anyway please see attached our latest advert lovingly crafted by
Steve. This depicts renders of the forthcoming sets of Ancient Spanish
and also gives a sneaky glimpse of the unarmoured Samnites.
Over the next 24 hours I will post a more comprehensive set of images for the Samnites.

Noch mehr Render der Samniten und weitere Informationen zu den Releases.
--- Zitat ---Today\'s news is all about the next releases after the Ancient
Spanish. In a nutshell we will release unarmoured Samnites, armoured
Samnites, Macedonian pikemen, Carthaginian war elephants and Numidian
cavalry.
The Samnites and Macedonians will follow a similar
format to the Carthaginian Citizen Infantry. Each sprue/frame will
contain 4 bodies but will also include numerous head and arm options so
that there is plenty of scope for variety. The sprue/frame will also
contain various weapons including
swords, standard bearer arms, musician arms and various javelins. This
means that all the required command figures can be built from this
single frame. This works well for Victrix because it means we can speed
up releases as there is less to design and tool. It also avoids having
to either build a separate command frame and also does away with the
need for separate command figures manufactured in white metal.
Steve will continue to support the new releases with Little Big Men Studios shield transfers.
We will probably sell these sets with 24 to 28 figures per set but as yet no firm decision has been made.
I would also iterate that this new format will not apply to all future
releases. For instance should we decide to release ACW infantry or Early
Imperial Romans (just teasing) or something similar we would almost
certainly move back to larger frames with more figures and other
components. The smaller frame allows us to speed up the release of less
complex subject matter such as the Samnites.
I hope to be able to show off the armoured Samnites in the not too distant future.

steffen1988:
Es gibt neues von Victrix. Scheinbar wird man alle erdenklichen Formen von Phalangiten darstellen können und es werden Perser angedeutet.
--- Zitat ---I have just received the first renders of the armoured Samnites.
There are only 2 images to show at present but detailed turn arounds
will follow on Monday. Both armoured and unarmoured Samnites are now off
to the tool room. Work will now commence on the 2 sets of Macedonian
pikemen, one set for Alexander and Philip and one set for Macedonian
Successor pikemen.
The Successor pikemen will feature more fanciful helmets and can be used for Seleucid, later Antigonid and Pyrrhic armies.
These are ideal for fighting our Republican Romans and Ancient Greeks.
They are also ideal for fighting ancient Persians, hint, hint.

Klingt so als würden die Samniten kurz nach den Iberern (also Anfang 2016) erscheinen.
