Light Chariots are better on 40x80mm bases

If you put them on bigger ones you will have problems moving them (especially as hittite with 20-30 of them )

Heavy/Scythed Chariots can be put on 60x80mm bases (like elephants).

We discussed that several times within the english WAB Forum and this base sizes as minimum seems to be fine. Think the next edition won\'t change it.

This thread seems to be very old or not up-to-date, but I found a very useful link: It\'s an english-based webstore, which sells Berbers, Hethits, Seapeople and such great stuff. You can get 50 miniatures for only 25pounds (yes, 25 pounds!). I prefer Foundry Biblical miniatures myself,but they cost a small fortune. :pinch: I\'m happy I had a large army to trade and was able to pick up a Foundry Trojan army in exchange. I want a Foundry Assyrian army one of these days. :toocool:

Hi,
yes, Foundry Ancient stuff is very great - but very expensive. I am toying with the idea building up a sea people army. But before I have to paint my Assyrian Army (2000 points, all Foundry models). I\'ll use the Fanatic Army Painter because it looks quite cool in the lot and it\'s very very very fast. The army is growin\' bigger and bigger, and I think I\'ll top the 3000-points-mark soon. :thumbup:

I know the army painter is quick.......that\'s why I used it on my Trojans! Perfect for all the flesh and quick which is a priority with this army . The shields however,I hand painted as they are the center piece of Trojans.When I paint Assyrians,I won\'t use army painter as their colors work best without it(my opinion).I\'ll post some results soon with the Trojans and I\'m looking forward to seeing your Assyrians.

How long do you cut the spears for the warbands?

I second Olaf on the Charios, 40mm frontage works much better as you need quite a lot of them. Makes them much more efficient in battle though.

Ich hatte mal eine Mycenean Armee und bin nur neugierig, wie andere die Armeeliste aufstellen. Chariot Wars ist sicher eine der besten Perioden fĂĽr WAB, allerdings braucht es so viele Figuren. Meine 2000Punkte Armee hatte um die 170 Infantrie und 15 Streitwagen, kein SpaĂź zum tragen und einpacken/aufbauen.

Viele Figuren sind den 3500 Punkte Hethiter?

Wir spielen Chariot Wars fast nur noch mit 1600 Punkten auf den normalen Platten, da hat man einfach mehr Platz zum rumfahren

EDIT: mal überlegen, habe an Hethitern ca. 20 Streitwagen, 90 Speerträger, 20 Garde, 24 Lukka, 24 Habiru, 10 Reiter, 20 Bogner, 24 Aramäer Scouts, mehr fällt mir spontan nicht ein, das sind glaub ich 3500 Punkte Und wenn man mal Zinn-Skaven gespielt hat, hat man auch die entsprechende Muskulatur.....

1600 reicht auch schätze ich. Wie spielst du die Spearmen, 6x5?

Die Bilder sind wohl mit einer meiner letzten Festplatten im Warp verschwunden.

Ja genau, 3x30 und die dann 6 breit und 5 tief (einer kostet ja nur 6 Punkte). Ob dann in der neuen Edition 10 breit und 3 tief muss man mal sehen wie genau das geregelt wird, wäre schon etwas sperrig. So gross in etwa müssen sie aber sein, um FBIGO gegen die Chariots zu haben.

Keine Fotos, schade. Mal eine komplett angemalte Armee von dir zu sehen wär mal was
