In this Warhammer Historical newsletter we span over two thousand years of historical combat with two exciting new additions to our range: Mark Latham’s Waterloo and Barry Hill’s Gladiator

Mark Latham, writer of Warhammer Historical’s popular Trafalgar rulebook, returns to the Napoleonic era with Waterloo, a new set of rules for playing tabletop wargames with 25mm-28mm miniatures set against the backdrop of this turbulent and dramatic period of European history.

Nicht dass es noch nicht genügend Napoleonische Regelwerke gäbe...
Und wieder diese britische Fixierung auf Waterloo, ich werde es wohl nie verstehen.

Das Gladiator Regebuch scheint jedenfalls mal etwas ausgefalleneres zu seien, werde ich mir bei Gelegenheit mal anschauen

Letztendlich warte ich immer noch auf Over the Top, dass ja ende des Monats erscheinen soll

Gladi is schon bestellt, den rest spiele ich mit anderen regeln-da pass ich mich mal meinen Mitspielern an, die die anderen Sachen schon haben! Is gĂĽnstiger, als doppeltgemoppelt und fĂĽr umsienur sozuhaben sind mir die Sachen doch zu teuer.

Eyecandy-mäßig natürlich wieder Spitze.
Aber ob das Herr der Ringe-System als Basis fĂĽr die Gladiatoren taugt...?
Da bin ich doch am Zweifeln. HdR ist doch eher fĂĽr Skirmish mit 20+ Modellen gut. Selbst die Legends-Serie kam da zuweilen an ihre Grenzen. Bin aber gespannt wie sie die idividuellere Kampfweise versucht haben darzustllen. Auf dem Quick-sheet kann man schon was von Trefferzonen etc. lesen...

Also von den vorhandenen GW Regelwerken ist der Herr der Ringe Baukasten da noch am besten geeignet, finde ich.

Ich finde beide Bücher vor allem optisch schön, aber das war zu erwarten. Nett ist, dass sie wohl vollfarbig und gebunden sind, das gefällt. Holen werde ich wohl nach und nach alle, aber erstmal das Normandy Buch.

Grundsätzlich eine gute Sache die beiden Bücher, Armies of Antiquity soll ja auch bald erscheinen.
Vieleicht bringt Forgeworld doch neues Leben in die Bude.
Weiß jemand von euch, ob man die Bücher nicht nur über die warhammer historical website beziehen kann. Ich habe nämlich keine Creditkarte

Ich ĂĽberlege mir, beide BĂĽcher zu holen. Vorallem weil meine Miniaturen im Waterloo Buch drin sind (ohne das ich gefragt wurde... ). Das kann ich sicher gĂĽnstig abstauben... Das Gladiator sieht auch einfach super toll aus. zwar habe ich dafĂĽr keine Miniaturen udn erst recht keinen Spieler, aber wenn juckts?

Layout sieht gewohnt gut aus, die Regeln sind wohl wieder die althergebrachten GW-Standardregeln, die man schon zur Genüge kennt... naja, mal ein paar Rezensionen abwarten. Es wird aber bestimmt interessant die Kommentare in diversen GW-Foren zu lesen, von wegen GW hätte das TT in der napoleonischen Epoche erfunden...

Waterloo... mittlerweile leider eines der langweiligsten TT-Themen ĂĽberhaupt... :sleeping:

The books quality will no doubt be excellent as are all FW books. As to the rules themselves only time will tell on that. I\'m interested in the Nap book, but I already enjoy Lasalle\'s version. Still, probably will get it. The Gladiator one might also be interesting as well.
That said, they should support WAB more with these spaced in between.
